We arrived, and were both in awe at the sight of the ship, waiting for us to enter it. Once we stepped through those doors, we would be certified Beacon students. Neither Dahl and I stopped moving and kept walking until we were inside the ship, filing in with crazy amounts of other students. Not much time remained for the ship to be docked, meaning we would depart for the school soon. I saw Dahl's head turn, and he was looking to an underpopulated corner. His head turned back to me.
"I think I'm gonna hang out over there until we get to the school." He told me.
Before he could get more than five feet from me, we were distracted by the news report on the holographic television. Lisa Lavender went over the recent events of Vale, and while watching, I hadn't noticed that the ship departed from the city. I was bewildered to see the sky and city below from the window next to the screen. A mugshot flashed onto the screen, of an orange haired man. The nameplate he held to his stomach read "Roman Torchwick". After several seconds of this image, they gave the show back to Mrs. Lavender. She reported on the White Fang's interference of a Faunus Civil Right's protest. The White Fang. A bunch of ruthless animals that taint the title of Faunus. I felt a small disturbance in my aura. Thoughts of the White Fang surely weren't happy, so I stopped thinking about it. Thankfully the news was cut off by the hologram of a woman with glasses and a purple cape.
"My name is Glynda Goodwitch. You are among the privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy. Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsman and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now, it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world." She then faded away, leaving the view of the window completely open to the ship's passengers. At some point during the announcement from Ms. Goodwitch, Dahl had left my side.
I approached the window and peered through the glass. Almost instantly, I recognized the area below, and spotted Signal. A girl next to me also saw the school, as she spoke aloud about it. The view was certainly astonishing from this height. It was hard to believe that I was looking down to Signal, flying to Beacon. A sickly groan came from my right, and traveled to my left from behind. I turned my head to see what was wrong with the person. A blond boy was covering his mouth as if he was close to vomiting. The girl that spoke of seeing Signal began yelling at him when he got close, and I couldn't help but laugh to myself.
Soon the ship's movement halted and the doors opened to let the students out. Vomit boy was one of the first out, dashing to the nearest trash can to finally let it out. I stuck with the moving pack of students who were leaving the aircraft. Dahl could find his way without me, he wasn't a little kid. Two years early was big, though. It was obvious that he was younger than most everyone here. My pace slowed when I saw the Beacon tower in broad daylight, and images from my dream resurfaced in my head. Everything from the tower and the lampposts standing along the walkway were spot on. I shook my head quickly to get myself back to reality. The crowd I was traveling with was passing through an intersection, which gave plenty of room for the members of the crowd to spread out. I could've stayed here to see if Dahl would turn up, but he could've been part of the same group and was already gone, on his way to the assembly. Through all of the wordless chatter of the crowd, I heard a grunt. It was surely feminine, so no vomit boy. I looked left and spotted a girl kneeling on the ground, with spilled belongings, scattered on the concrete in front of her. Thankfully I was on the outside edge of the crowd, making it easy for me to step aside and reach the troubled student. No one else seemed to notice the girl, or they just didn't care. I took the few steps necessary to be standing next to her, and got to my knees to reach her level.
"You need some help?" I asked. I was hoping that she wasn't overly frustrated to the point of being unwilling to accept my help.
She turned her head to me, and I saw her face as she met my eyes with her own. She looked surprised, with her uncovered eye glaring widely. Her eyes were a grayish blue, and her blonde hair covered most of her forehead along with her entire right eye, leaving only her left visible. Her outfit consisted of mostly black, with blue corset on her stomach and blue fabric outlining her skirt. An unworn blue hood was attached to her shoulders, with the cloth of the hood covering her shoulders and her upper back. Her arms were mostly covered my long black gloves underneath blue and black bracers. A closed smile formed on her face and she replied.
