At Goodwitch's command, our match started and I was the first one to move. Magenta quickly popped her knuckles and charged to meet me in the middle of the room. The only way her aura will drain is if she lands a hit with her semblance, and getting decked isn't a very good plan.

Magenta and I were under a second from meeting in the center. She was ready to strike. I flipped Vlad upside down at the last possible second and pushed off of the floor with it, practically pole vaulting over Magenta's head. She lunged with her fist in front of her, punching nothing but the air I was occupying a second ago. As I passed over her head, I rammed my foot behind me and felt the sole of my boot slam into something belonging to Magenta. I barely landed properly, managing to catch myself. Vlad clattered to the floor on the other side of Magenta.

My partner stood near my weapon, still winding from the kick I landed, I assumed I hit her head. I took the chance while she was seemingly stunned to try and retrieve my weapon. I didn't stand a chance without it. I went to run past Magenta and was stopped, as were my lungs, from the impact of what stopped me. Magenta's forearm crashed into my chest and clotheslined me right off my feet. I rolled on the floor back where I'd landed from my vault, hoping to catch my breath after having the wind knocked out of me.

I could only recover for a second before Magenta went for another strike. The moment I hit the floor she charged me with her fist wound back. She jumped into the air just above me and came down hard. I rolled out of her sights and her fist crashed right into the floor, cracking and caving in the floor of the classroom. That could've been me! Was she planning on killing me?

I felt a light shockwave from her fist penetrating the ground by a few inches, and got a move on. With probably too much confidence I taunted my partner by leaping right over her. She'd left her hand in the floor's newly made crater for a moment too long, allowing me to move. I landed on the other side of Magenta and dove for my weapon, picking Vlad up by the base of the handle and twirling it until it was in proper position within my hands.

I turned back to face Magenta with haste, expecting her to be already halfway to me with the red gleam of murderous intent in her eyes, but she had just stood up straight from her floor punch. Her back was to me and she stood completely still for a second, before reaching over her shoulder and wrapping her gloved fingers around Rogue Spirit's handle.

Enough playing cat and mouse, now it's fair game.

Magenta removed her mace from her back and turned to face me. I looked up to the screen above us both briefly, and saw that she was already at 70% aura. That punch was a powerful one, but too many powerful misses are gonna let me win. She was changing tactics sooner than I'd expected or wanted, but she chose to use her fists for a reason. She wasn't much of a duelist.

My attention was still mostly on the screen, and in the corner of my eye I saw something big and metal flying at me at high speed. Before I could even get a full glimpse, it smacked me in the face and sent me into another dimension. I was pretty sure Magenta threw Rogue Spirit with a powered throw, and hit me square in the face. I wasn't even able to comprehend what happened to me before Magenta was right in front of me throwing punches. The first few of them connected, her fists hitting my abdomen and chest hard. One straight punch to my chest seemed to knock me back into reality. She got several more hits in before I finally thought of a counter.

Plan A was to try and use my leather covered forearms to block her punches. The leather did jack diddly squat against Magenta's semblance enhancing the power of her punches. I continuously backed up, keeping the fight moving, and she kept up just fine, not wavering in the slightest.
