Friday had finally rolled around. The initiation went by quick, and the days of actual school that came after the team formations went by super slow. What made it worse was the complete absence of anything really exciting. Aster called the General on Tuesday and was denied any information or permission to help, so our mission was over before it even started, leaving us with school and ourselves. Probably how it was supposed to be, but when has normal ever been cool?
I'd been feeling a tad more strong the past couple of days, getting powered by anger from Aster. He was pretty upset over getting turned down on his chance to prove himself.
Classes for the day were over, and we were free for the weekend to do whatever we wanted. Aster was working in overdrive trying to find out who stole the cannon barrel, studying books, surfing the internet, and even asking some of his people in Atlas, without the knowledge of his father or Ironwood.
Our dorm room sat quiet with just Yara, Liz and I. Aster was gone, most likely doing more research. Liseran was still working on her personal project at the desk, and I was almost done with my drawing. I stared at the mostly complete picture and determined what I had left to do. The drawing was of a moment from the dream I had on Monday. A vivid image of the Beacon Tower starting to break away into the petals of a Black Dahlia flower. I could picture every moment from the dream like an actual memory. I was still trying to figure out what it all meant, if it meant anything at all.
I planned on possibly catching up with Blossom or Ruby, but Blossom was out with her team and Ruby said she'd be doing "team building exercises". Maybe go and find Aster and help with his research, or try and finish the drawing? I looked at the nearly complete picture and it struck up a realization in me. The feeling I had in that dream was unreal, like I was more powerful than ever. I had power, but no idea how to use it. The fear that ran through me gave me strength, pure strength. Strength I've never known in reality.
I shut the journal to disconnect my eyes from the image, and stood up. Yara looked up from her book when I got up, and waited for my next move. "I'm heading out. Call me if Aster shows up." I headed to the door and left.

The four of us sat together in the airship, taking a ride down to the city of Vale. Sapphire and Magenta ended up joining Linen and I on our day out, but I was sure they'd make it all the more enjoyable. "So, we have all afternoon to do so as we please with all of the fun that is Vale. What's first on the list?" Magenta asked us.
"I thought we were just getting lunch." Linen said.
"Just lunch? Pft, please. We have all day! We can do lunch first, if you want, but that's not all we're doing." Sapphire stressed.
"Then what else are we doing?" Linen asked.
Sapphire and Magenta started bombarding Linen with possibilities for how our day would go, listing off all the places we could go. All of us were born and raised here, except Linen. She'd come here just for the school, but today could be our chance to make her like the rest of Vale.
To my surprise, Linen had dressed for the occasion. All of us wore different outfits for our day off, besides Sapphire, who was still dressed in her leather and corset. Magenta was wearing a strawberry pink leather jacket and her usual jean shorts. I had my hair tied up, and had my white button-up tucked in all around, ditching the suspenders, and replacing my skirt with rose pink short shorts.
