My eyes opened automatically and revealed the unusually dark courtyard of Beacon. It was clearly late in the night, but something felt off... Very off. The shattered moon sat like a pale sun in the sky above, brightening my surroundings efficiently. I was in the middle of taking in the sight when an intense breeze came in. My semblance kicked in out of nowhere, and I felt tension throughout my entire body. It wasn't a rush of strength as it should've been. Without reason I felt and immense amount of fear stir in my head. My first instinct was to reach over my shoulder to seek salvation. Quia Malum was absent from my back. The tension and intense fear calmed as black flower petals blew past me in the wind. They caught my eye and I followed them as they traveled through the courtyard, toward the Beacon tower. Other streams of black petals were flying toward the tower and all of them started climbing it, circling it separately and steadily ascending until all separate trails of petals convened at the top. It just clicked that the tower's lights weren't on. It was dark. The petals merged into one giant cluster, and began shaping into something. I watched in awe from the distant ground below, eagerly waiting to see what the petals would make of themselves. It took them several seconds to decide, and finally completed their formation. The petals created a massive javelin, with the tip of the blade pointed down toward me. Before I could even try to move out of its path, it shot down and ripped through my chest in under a second.
My eyes opened and I was greeted by the base white ceiling of our dorm room. My fingers were gripped tightly on my bedsheets, and I let go, feeling the wrinkles I'd created in the cloth.
It was eight thirty. Class would be starting in half an hour, which was plenty of time for me to get ready. Liseran sat at our room's desk, going hard with a pencil on something I couldn't see past her. Yara was standing in front of the open window still in her pajamas, letting the soft breeze blow through her shoulder length green hair that was out of the ponytail fashion. Her pajamas consisted of simply a t-shirt way too big for her, and shorts that were hidden underneath her incredibly long shirt.
I sat up and looked around, and of course, Aster wasn't here. I felt a bead of sweat run down my temple by my eye, presumably from the nightmare. Yara noticed me sit up to her left and looked over.
Joy. I felt it come off of her. She was emitting emotions again. "Good morning." She greeted me, taking another sip of her coffee.
"Good morning." I repeated. I threw my covers off of me and hopped out of the bed.
"Where's Aster?" I asked.
"Don't know. He was gone before we woke up." Yara answered.
"I think he's still upset." Liseran chimed in, rhetorically.
This is ridiculous. Since the end of the initiation and the formation of teams, he's only spoken like three words to any of us. He may need more time to come to terms with not being in control, but he has to soon.
I exited the dorm with my uniform tucked under my arm and entered the bathroom to change.

The four of us walked along the concrete walkway leading to through the courtyard. We still had plenty of time before class started, so we had some time to explore.
We all wore our uniforms, and left them untouched except for Sapphire, who insisted she keep her hood on during class. Linen at first seemed incredibly uncomfortable outside of her usual outfit, and still clearly was uncomfortable, but not as much. She repeatedly moved her hands awkwardly with no pockets to place them. Her usual zipper ridden vest had several pockets where she usually hid her hands.
