Chapter 12

Skylar

I sighed, opening my locker, instantly getting a strong whiff of Anthony's cologne. For a split second, I got excited that he was around, but I immediately shot down the idea when I saw his jacket still sitting in my locker.

He's been avoiding me for the past few days, ever since he drove me home. You'd think I drove him mad or something. I wasn't sure if I should give his jacket to Hunter but I figured that would be pretty awkward so I didn't. The plus side was that my locker now smelled fucking amazing.

Quickly, I looked around before gingerly taking his coat off the hook and bringing it up to my nose. I swear, his cologne was like a drug, and I could get high on it all day. I deeply inhaled, letting the smell enter my nose. I felt it burn a little, but I didn't care.

"Are you smelling my jacket?" Anthony appeared next to me with an amused smirk on his face. I felt all my blood rush to my cheeks as he leaned against the locker and crossed his arms.

(A/N: AHAHAH sorry. I love that part ^^^^ )

"Why do you have Anthony's jacket?" Tessa appeared next to him before I had a chance to come up with an excuse.

"I-It's from..." I trailed off when I saw Anthony vigorously shaking his head behind her. I couldn't figure out what he didn't want me to say, so I figured the truth was the best way out. "He gave it to me the other night when he drove me home."

Instantly, Anthony silently smacked his hand to his forehead and shook his head. Tessa's been giving both of us a hard time ever since that night. She's not convinced something didn't happen, and I'm pretty sure I just made it worse.

"You what?" She shrieked and whipped her head around towards Anthony. "What, did you strip and give her your boxers too?"

Don't get me wrong, I felt horrible that she felt this way about the other night, but it took every inch of respect to not laugh out loud. She was completely over reacting about a ride home, but I don't think neither of us wanted to tell her that.

"Tessa, listen to me-"

"No, you listen to me! I know something's going on between you guys. I can feel it," She pouted and crossed her arms. She wasn't wrong, there has definitely been some sexual tension in the air ever since her Halloween party, but neither of was was about to say that out loud.

"Tessa, you need to calm down," I sighed and handed Anthony's jacket back to him. "I was cold, okay?"

That was a lie. I was still confused why exactly Anthony gave me his jacket because whenever I asked, he never gave me a straight answer.

"But-"

"No buts. That's what happened. I'd do it for anyone," Anthony turned her around and gripped her shoulders. "I'd do it for you," He whispered and dipped his head so he was looked down into her eyes.

I instantly wanted to gag. No change in hell was I sitting here and watching this. They moved their faces closer, but I quickly slammed my locker door shut. Both of them jumped a little, and I had to force myself not to grin when they pulled away. It was petty, I know, but they could kiss somewhere else for all I care. Just not in front of me while I'm trying so hard to get over my lingering feelings for Anthony. Okay, that's not true. I didn't want them kissing at all, but that couldn't necessarily be helped.
