It has only been a few weeks since finding out that I am pregnant and Rylan has been a little over protective I should say. He moved our room from the upstairs to the downstairs because he didn't want me walking on the stairs. He always walked right next to me with his hand in front of my stomach and blocked it from people who passed by me. It is really sweet that he is doing all this in an effort to make sure nothing happens to me, but there has to be a line and that line came when he wanted to get into the shower with me to make sure that I don't slip or fall getting out. Now don't get me wrong. I would be all for him showering with me, but the shower is a walk in shower. I wouldn't fall getting out because I literally don't have to step over anything at all. I told him we could just have a mat put into the shower to ensure that I don't slip, but he still didn't trust it.
I am not used to this. Having someone there for me to take such great care of me during the pregnancy. Sure, my brother and parents were there for me during my pregnancy, but not to this extent. It was both sweet and annoying in a way.
"Elizabeth go sit down. I will get you a water."
"Rylan, seriously. I will be okay to go and get a water. I am only three months pregnant. It's not like I can't do anything at all."
"I just want to make sure you are safe at all times."
"And that is very sweet of you, but let me do some things for myself until I physically can't do them anymore because trust me, there will come a time where I won't be able to bend to shave my legs or put my shoes on or when I can't get up from the couch and you will have to help me do it all. Relax and just do your own thing for now."
"Alright. I will chill out a little bit, but I am still always going to be around."
"I can deal with that."
"Good. So we have to go and meet with the designers for the house. We have to tell them how many rooms we want, how many bathrooms, how many extra spaces then they get to start building and once they are done with that we can start furnishing the place."
"I am so stoked. I can't wait to decorate our bedroom and the kitchen and everything."
"I can tell you are so excited."
"I am and only a month and a half left until we know the gender of the babies and I can start thinking of ways to decorate their rooms."
"I want to decorate the boys rooms."
"If we have boys."
"We will"
"So confident."
"It is what you love about me."
"It is one of the things I love about you."
I gave him a kiss and we got Emmie and went to meet with the designers. Walking into their office you could tell that the office screamed money. I am sure that they get a lot of money. I must admit that their style is pretty nice.
"Ah! Good morning Mr. Masters and soon to be Mrs. Masters. We are so glad that you chose us to design your home."
"Thank you Christopher. We are excited to get started and see what you can create for us."
"Well then lets get started talking about what you want. So lets start with how many rooms you want."
"Well we are going to need at least seven bedrooms. I would like them to be a decent size. Four of them need to be big enough that when our kids are teenagers they are going to need the space for all their stuff and to make it their own. For the master bedroom I want it to be a true master bedroom. Huge and a big master bath as well."
"We can definitely make that work. I would assume you would need a large kitchen, living room, and dining room as well?"
"Absolutely. I love to cook so I will need a pretty large kitchen, plus our families will be over and there is a lot of us."
We all laughed.
"Any extra rooms you want?"
"I would like an office so we can work from home." Rylan said.
"I would like a entertainment room. A place where we can go for family movie nights."
"Sounds wonderful. One story or two story house?"
"Two story and I would like french doors leading out to a balcony off the master bedroom if we can make that work." I said and looked at Rylan.
"Anything you want and we will do it." He said and smiled at me.
It felt really good to be getting this out of the way.
"Alright. We will start the design and then get it built on your property. Once we are close to getting it done we will meet and pick out all things you want for the house like the cabinets, flooring, and bathtubs and all that."
"Thank you so much."
"It is a pleasure. Congratulations on your little one."
"Ones. We are having triplets." I said.
"Wow. I can see why you need all those rooms."
We laughed and said we would see them soon.
"Rylan, Can we stop and get some food?"
"Of course."
Emmie was quiet throughout the entire day and it was worrying me. So when we stopped to get some food I had to ask her what is wrong.
"Emmie are you okay?"
"Yes momma."
"Come on baby girl, whats the matter?"
"Will you still love me even when the babies come?"
"What? Of course I will. Just because a new baby or three comes along doesn't mean I would stop loving you. Where is this coming from?"
"I just don't want to feel unloved."
I could see that she was having a hard time with this. I mean for six years she had all of my attention and now there are going to be three new kids.
"Emmie, I will always love you. That is never going to change. If it will make you feel better we will have one day every month where just you and I do something together."
"Really?"
"Really."
She smiled at me. I know she is happy to be a big sister, but I can also see her concerns. Over time she will grow out of it. Maybe when she sees the babies. We still had a month and a half until we found out the genders and I was getting excited. I am thinking about doing a gender reveal instead of finding out right away.
Getting home that day I was exhausted. You would think I wouldn't be that tired at only three and a half months, but three babies take a lot more out of you. I went to change and laid in bed and before I knew it I was passed out.

They are getting their house built!
I would really love to build my own house, but I don't have the money for that or to even buy land.
