My Ever After

Chapter Thirty Three

After the event, Rylan didn't want me doing a whole lot. He made me work from home instead of going into the office. I have gotten much more bigger and it is very noticeable. I am now only five months pregnant and I feel like I could pop at any second. The doctors appointment have been going very well and all three babies are growing and healthy. The doctor wants to induce me at 36 weeks if I make it that far.

To say I was nervous was an understatement. I have never been induced before and I feel like something would go wrong, but I have faith in my doctor. 

"How is my gorgeous fiance doing today?"

"She is very bored. I want to get out of this house."

"I know you do, so how about we go out and get some sushi tonight?"

"Oh my god yes!"

I was so excited to get out of the house. I put on my shoes and we went to the car.

"So we find out the genders tomorrow."

"We do." Rylan smiled.

"I was thinking that we just don't find out. We have the doctor write the genders down and and give them to someone who can make a cake or something for a gender reveal."

"It will kill me not knowing, but let's do it."

"Really?!"

"Absolutely."

We got sushi and we were about to leave when Erica walked in. She looked at my stomach and laughed.

"Seriously? You got her pregnant?"

"Yes I did. Don't be jealous that its not you carrying my babies."

"Babies?" 

"Yes. Now if you excuse us we need to be leaving."

When we left I was irritated.

"Baby, don't let her get to you."

"I am so irritated with her. It is like she just pops up wherever we are. I hate seeing her."

"I do too, but let's not let this affect our night."

"You're right."

We got home and went to the backyard where he had a bed set up. 

"I thought that we could sleep under the stars tonight."

"I love that. It is so cool out tonight which is perfect because I have been having hot flashes like crazy."

"Well then I am glad I picked tonight to do this." He laughed.

I climbed on the bed and laid down. It felt so cool and I loved it.

"Rylan have I ever told you how sweet and thoughtful you are?"

"Maybe once or twice."

"Well you are sweet and very thoughtful."

"Thank you baby."

We laid there in silence before Emmie came running out.

"Momma! Auntie Anna said I can have a sleep over with her in her room. Can I?"

"Of course you can baby girl. Just remember to listen to Anna."

"Thanks momma." She said and gave me a kiss before going back into the house.

"Our house is coming along very well. The builders sent me a couple of pictures."

He showed me the phone. In a month and a half they have done so much already. I cannot wait to see it finished.

"Do we get to meet with them soon to pick out the flooring and stuff or not yet."

"We get to do that in a few weeks. I am more focused on knowing the gender of our three beautiful babies."

"How about we just skip the gender reveal and we just can do the reveal for the families."

"Are you okay with that?"

"Rylan, you have done so much for me and Emmie and have made us so happy so if finding out the gender of our babies will make you really happy then that is what I will do."

"I love you so much!" He exclaimed and then hovered over me and kissed me.

"I love you too." I giggled.

I loved laying there and watching the stars. It was so peaceful and quiet and I felt relaxed. 

"What time is the appointment tomorrow?"

"11:30 a.m."

"I am so excited!"

Rylan is like a kid in a candy store when it comes talking about the babies. I can tell he is really excited to be a dad. Mallory and Harrison really want to start buying baby stuff, but they can't yet and it is killing them. Luckily they will know tomorrow. I fell asleep with a smile on my face.

I felt Rylan poking my cheek the next morning and every time he poked me I swatted his hands away and he would laugh.

"Rylan stop. I am tired."

"But you have to get up because we have an appointment in an hour."

I jumped up

"We find out the genders today!"

"Yes we do!"

Rylan helped me upstairs to get ready. I was beyond nervous. I keep thinking what if we have all girls? Rylan would lose his mind. If we have all boys, I would lose my mind. After I was done getting ready I waited for Rylan in the kitchen.

"So today is the day." Mallory said.

"It is. I am so excited, but not as excited as Rylan apparently." I laughed.

"I honestly never thought I would see the day where he had children and now here he is. He is going to make one amazing father."

"He really is. He might change his tune a little when he realizes how many times in a night they get up for every little thing."

"We will let him learn that on his own." 

We laughed. Rylan came in a few minutes later and said it was time to go. 

We got to the office and checked in and waited patiently. 

"Masters!" The nurse called.

We got up and walked with her to the ultrasound room. I laid on the bed and did as instructed.

"So are we finding out the genders today or do you want it to be a secret?"

"We are finding out." Rylan beamed.

The doctor squeezed some gel on my belly and began. I watched as our babies showed up on the screen. They looked so big and yet so small at the same time. First the doctor did measurements of each one and said they were measuring perfectly.

"Alright. Ready to find out?"

"Yes." We both said and the doctor laughed.

"Okay. So baby A right here is a boy. Baby B right here is a girl and Baby C right here is a boy also."

I stared at the screen and started to tear up. Two boys and one girl. I felt like the luckiest woman in the world. I looked over at Rylan and he had tears in his eyes too. He leaned down and gave me a kiss then went to my ear.

"I called it."

A night under the stars! How romantic.

Two boys and a girl! Who called it?

I was honestly going to do two girls and one boy, but I wanted to make it even. Two daughters, two sons.
