My Ever After

Chapter Thirty Five

It has now been three and a half months since we found out the gender. That's right. I am now eight and a half months pregnant. The contractors have managed to get the house built in that time frame and it was amazing. It looked perfect on the outside. We were heading to our house now so that we could pick paint colors, furniture, flooring, and all that good stuff. I also had my baby shower tonight so it was going to be a busy day.

"Welcome Mr. Master and soon to be Mrs. Masters. Are you ready to get the decor picked for your house?"

"Absolutely. We don't have too much longer until these babies arrive and I would love to be able to move in soon after they are born."

"Understandable. So let's talk about paint colors."

"Well for the kitchen I want a light cream color. Since the cabinets will be dark as well as the appliances I need to balance it out and make it pop by adding a light color."

"Sounds perfect. Now for the living room."

"For the living room I want a beige color. Something neutral and for the dining room I would like a green color. I can't think of the name of it right now, but I saw it and was like that is the color for our living room. It would look perfect."

"I will send color swatches over to you of the greens so you can pick the one you really want."

I nodded.

"Alright. Now let's get on to the exciting part. The babies rooms."

"Well for the little girls room I would like a very light pink. Nothing too out there or dark or bright. Something simple. I would like to have some gray added in there some way because the crib we bought for her is gray as well as the dresser and rocking chair."

"Lovely. I can work with that. How about flooring?"

"For the kids rooms we want hard wood floor, but we will put rugs down until they get older."

"Alright and for the boys rooms?"

I looked over at Rylan. He wanted to design the boys rooms.

"Well. I want one room to be a dark blue and one to be a light blue. They may be triplets, but they will definitely have separate personalities. I would like that there is also gray mixed in with the color as well. You are a brilliant designer and I trust you to make this house look amazing."

I smiled at the fact that he knew what he wanted and that he trusted this designer to decorate our house to our liking. Everything Rylan did made me fall even more in love with him and it honestly terrified me. 

"Now, Emmie, what would you like for you room?"

"Well, I would like a canopy bed. I have one at my grandma and granpda's house and I love it. If I can have a gray wood floor that would be pretty awesome. Is it ok for me to have a wall that is painted with chalkboard paint?"

"Anything you want Emmie." Rylan said.

"Alright then a chalkboard wall it is. I would also like a little area in the corner be made into a hideaway kind of thing, so when my sisters gets a little bit bigger we can have slumber parties in there. I would also like my walls to be a light pink."

"A little girl who knows what she wants. I like that." The designer said.

I smiled. I took pride in the fact that Emmie knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to let people know. It showed me that when she is older she would know exactly what she wants and she would go for it.

"Alright. I got most of it. If you can just send me pictures of furniture that you like for the bedrooms, living room, dining room, study, den and all the other places that would be great so I can just get started on putting your home together for you. Also if you could send me ideas of what you would like for each of the bathrooms, that would be great also. I don't want Ms. Cole here to be comfortable sitting or standing and walking around the house."
