-Emmaline's Point of View-

. . .

The first week of school had passed by rather quickly.

I had grown use to my classes already and opted not to take on an extra class.

I parked in my parking space, and was actually surprised to see the Cullen's already there.

"Good morning y'all." I cheerfully greeted them.

The Cullen's had settled in quite nicely into the school. They seemed like all around good kids and I was really happy that no one seemed to be singling them out for being new. In fact, it was really the opposite, the Cullen's are rather popular because they've lived in so many different places that everyone finds them intriguing.

They all chimed their hellos.

"Wish I could stay and chat but I gotta head to the gym and start getting everything ready for the cheer try-outs tomorrow." I admitted, "I hope all of you girls try out."

"That's not really my sort of thing." The always reserved Bella spoke.

"Yeah I'm not so sure Alice and I are going to try out either." Rosalie put in.

"Well tryouts are open to the public so if y'all wanna come and cheer on Ness feel free to stop on by." I said, "catch y'all later."

I waved them bye and headed to the gym.

"Good Mornin' Emma." Coach Dillion greeted me, she is honestly the best cheer coach ever.

"Hey Coach, just coming by to pick up the banners and then run through tomorrow's schedule."

"Sounds like a plan Captain, the banners are over there, are the boys here?"

She had asked that some of the football players help me out since the banners had to be high.

"I'm sure they're in the parking lot." I assured her as I grabbed the arm full of banners and the clear packing tape.

I jogged back out to the parking lot but didn't find the guys. I knew I had to get this done before school started so I had to turn to the only other people here this early.

"Hey you're back." Emmett smiled. "What's all that?"

"Well they're the signs that I have to put up so everyone can see that both Cheer and Football tryouts are tomorrow." I filled him in, "unfortunately I think my helpers forgot so I have a big favor to ask of you guys."

Thankfully the guys all agreed and the girls came along to help however they could as well.

Edward and Jacob left with Bella and Renesme to hang banners in both the cafeteria and the B Building.

I stayed with Jasper, Emmett, Alice, and Rosalie. We had to get banners up on the outside of the schools main entryway, the A building, and the gym.

"How are we gonna do this?" Jasper asked as he looked up at the top of the doors.

Now Jasper and Emmett are rather tall, but the top of the door frame was still a good foot away from the tops of their heads, and we still had to get the banner over that so the doors wouldn't tear it everytime someone opened the doors.

"You two are both going to have to lift me, cheerleader style." I said, I then went on explaining how the two of them should hold me. "Before we start, Rosalie, Alice do you mind blocking the doors so no one tries to open them while I'm up there?"

The girls agreed, Alice stepped inside while Rosalie stood watch outside. I then tucked my very blousy top into my disco pants and stepped out of my wedge booties.

The boys did exactly as I had instructed and in an instant the top of the door was at my shins.

"Your feet stink." Emmett commented.

I giggled then stopped, "cut it out, we gotta be serious." I said as I unrolled one side of the banner and quickly taped it to the building. "Alright guys time to CAREFULLY move to the left."

They moved without even jostling me and I taped up the rest of the banner.

"Thank god, time to bring me down guys."

I was more than a little nervous. As a cheerleader I AM a flyer so I have no problem with going up. But normally (with a two leg stunt like they boys were doing now) there are three sometimes even four bases, right now I only had the two. The only way I knew how to get down is with a basket toss, where they would have to push me up, release my feet, and catch me cradle style.

Something I wasn't too keen on, given the fact that there is only the two of them there to save me from my head cracking open on the cement steps.

But there was another way, definitely unorthodox, and maybe even a tad intimate but I just couldn't risk my life. I grew nervous as I though how I would approach the idea.

Then suddenly a wave of courage hit me and I just went for it.

"Emmett walk over to Jasper."

He did as he was told.

"Alright Jasper I'm going to trust you, can I trust you?" I asked.

"Yes."

"Okay," I said. "Emmett hold on tight because Jasper is going to wrap his arms around my legs."

"What do you mean?" Jasper asked.

"When I say so, wrap both arms around my legs like you're hugging them, but not too tight because I have to be able to slide down, Emmett will be there incase I come down to fast."

Both boys nodded.

"Ready?" I asked.

"Ready." They replied simultaneously.

"Okay, now."

They moved faster than I anticipated and before I knew I was definitely coming down fast, I worried that it would slip through Jasper's arms.

My ankles, shins, and knees came down fast, but as my thighs came down I began to slow as I could feel Jasper's arms hugging my body just a little tighter.

I could be delirious from the adrenaline of coming down so fast but I could swear Jasper held onto me for longer than was necessary.

He set my sock covered feet against the ground before he removed his arms from around me and I thanked them both with hugs and massive praise for not dropping me. I put my booties back on and we left to put the remaining two banners up.

Once we finished we met back up with the others out in the parking lot and I thanked them all for their help and soon everyone started arriving.

"Hey the banners look great." Leander commented as he approached us.

"Yeah no thanks to you." I stated.

"Oh Em, I completely forgot I said I would help you." He laughed.

The bell rang, "whatever Leander, I gotta get to class."

I was mad at his childish attitude, he was acting like this was nothing, if the banners hadn't gone up Coach Dillion would chew MY ass out, not his. I really was super lucky the Cullen's had decided to show up an hour early today, I wonder why they did decide to show up to school early?

I couldn't help but think about Jasper too. He was seriously strong. I was expecting Emmett to be strong, but Jasper surprised me because he isn't obviously muscular like Emmett. But dude is fit, and seriously toned, I mean to the point that his entire body felt like one tall rock.
