Chapter 8 : True Feelings

*Langston's POV*

Its Saturday and i told everybody to come over my house. They need to know about what's happening to Taliah. Everybody been tellin' me that she been actin; weird to them. As far as i know, I'm the only one that knows about Kev beating her. But on Monday, Kev is gettin' straight hell ! He bitchmade for puttin' his hands on her. I was waiting for everybody to get here and then the doorbell rung. I went to answer the door and i thought it was everybody but it was just Taliah.

"Hey." She walking into the living room and sitting on the couch.

"What you doing here?"

"Mia told me that you wanted all them to come over so you could tell them something. And I already know what it is. I think I should tell them."

"You sure?" I asked sitting right next to her.

"Yeah. It's the best thing to do." she said sitting up and looking at me. "You have real long eye lashes. Ha."

"Aha i know. I get that alot." I said looking back at her. There was like this awkward silence and i wasn't feelin it. Lol "You have nice eyes too." I said still looking at her.

There was another silence . I thought about what i was about to do, then i just went for it. I leaned in and kissed her. She wasn't resisting either. Then i was rudely interupted by everyone coming through the door. We both stopped when we heard Julian saying something.

"Ohhh , what yall in here doin !?" He said floppin on the other couch.

"Nothing." i said wiping her lipgloss off my mouth.

"Mmhmm. Sure."

Bye that time everybody had came in and sat down.

"So what are we here for?" Essie asked while she was on her phone.

"We wanna know why Taliah acting so weird !" Mia blurted out. "I mean its not normal for her to act , you know NORMAL. Aha"

I looked over at Taliah and she had her sunglasses on trying to cover her balck eye. She sighed, stood up and took off her sunglasses. Everybody gasped.

"This is why I've been acting so weird." She said looking like she was about to tear up.

"What happened !?" Mia said jumping up and getting close to look at her eye.

She sighed and said "Kev hit me."

"He hit you !? How long has this been happening?" Essie said jumping up almost dropping her phone .

"A few weeks." Taliah sat back down on the couch and tears fell from her eyes. "It started when we were at the club ta one night."

"Why didn't you tell us !?" DayDay somewhat yelled.

"I didn't want you to get too worried." She said putting her head down.

"Didn't want us to get too worried !? He put his fucking hands on you !" Vicky said running over and sitting next to Taliah.

"This is what i was talking about ! I knew all of yall would act like this ! Especially You and Essie !" she said turning around to Vicky and yelling in her face .

Essie got up and walked over to them and stood infront of Taliah . "Why not !? You're our little cousin ! Why wouldn't we - "

"Thats the thing ! Im Not A Little Kid Anymore ! I'm almost 18 and you actin' like i'm 6 !"

Taliah started getting angry. "You know what , fuck it ! I don't even know why i told yall anything." She got up and walked out the door slamming the door. I ran after her.
