Chapter Fourteen

Pov Levi

   I was beyond pissed. I was pissed at Lillie for not telling me about this Kobie. I was pissed at Kobie for even showing up. I was pissed at this whole deal going on with Mace. 

   "Levi, you ok man?"Caden asked while looking at me from Serenity and his tent

    "Yea I'm fine." I said while side glancing Lillie. Her small hand was loosely holding Kobie's hand. My fist clenched at the sight. 

    I wanted to be the one who held her hand. I wanted to be the one she trusted her life too. I wanted to be him right now. 

   "Ok then... " Caden said while slowly making his way to Serenity.

I watched as her face lit up when he came near and a blush take over her face when he kissed her forehead. There was no way that anyone could say they aren't in love.  

   "Levi can we talk?" Said a still rosy Serenity. 

     "Yea.... Bout what?" I said while my eyes remained on the the brunette goddness. 

       "Bout Lillie and Kobie." I looked at her trying to read what she wanted me to know. 

      "When we were walking over here, Kobie just showed up. At first Lillie looked like she had know clue who he was then BOOM it's her boyfriend. We were also talking about......." 

     "Serenity? Can you help me get fire wood?" Lillie asked while a nervous smile. I knew that smile, it was the one  she used when she had to get out of something.

      "I'll help." I said while walking up to her. She let out the same smile again and started off to the deeper part of the woods. 

       "Thank you Levi." Lillie said while grappling my hand. For only the 6th millionth time, sparks flew. 

     I had never been someone to think of love to even was possible. I found love to be dumb and pointless wast of energy. Living in my house took away any hope of love. But now here with Lillie, I don't know if I was right.

       "I would do anything for you." I said while looking at her fearful brown eyes. All that went through my mind was what Serenity told me earlier. Why would her eyes even be full of fear? 

      "I know. And same with you." Lillie said while wrapping her arms around my waist. I returned the hug, and let my head rest on the top of hers. 

      "I think we should get firewood." I said while letting go of her. She looked at me and nodded

       "Agreed. Onward!!!!" She yelled and started to search for wood.

        "But first let me take a selfie." I sang well more like yelled. 

        "You did not just do that." Lillie said with a look of 'really'. 

        "Oh but I did." I replied with a grin. 

   Her mouth opened about to tell me some speech how I should never do that again or she wouldn't be my friend. But I didn't want to hear some sappy speech that meant nothing to real importance, so I did the first thing I could think of.

     I lifted her up bridle style and started to run around the woods. 

      "OH MY GOOD CHEESE STICKS!!!!! PUT ME DOWN!!!" She yelled while I kept laughing. 

       "If you really want me too." I responded. I stopped running around like a mad man and stood still.

        "Yes I really want you too." Lillie said trying to get out of my grip. But her and me both knew she was not getting out of my arms. 

        "Aw but I like you here." I said with my best puppy dog eyes. 

       "I'll make you a deal." 

        "Mkay."  

    " I'll stay here if and only if you can get all the wood with me here."  She said with a proud look on her face from her challenge. 

           "Deal." An with those words I started to pick up sticks with one hand while I flung Lillie over my shoulder. 

          "Really?" She said.

           "Yep."   Once I got enough wood I put her back in a bridal style and put the wood on her. 

         "You can be a jerk at times." She said while looking at the sticks on her. 

          "That's what makes me, me." I said with a smile.

      We slowly made our way to the site, but something bothered me. Lillie was wearing a jacket, jean shorts and a tank top under her shirt. She also has a bunch of sticks on top of her

But she feels to light. I'm not saying she ever was heavy, but she was right now to light for any normal "5" "4" girl.

         "Hey Lillie when we get back do you want me to make you a hotdog?" I asked. 

       "No thanks I'll eat later." She said while a smile. 

       "You sure?"

        "Yea I'm sure."

         "Then he said I was the weenier dog!!!" Kobie said while everyone laughed along. I let out a small chuckle but the sight of Lille next to him just brought my spirits down. 

         The thought of what Serenity said along with the fact of how light she is kept my mind pretty busy. I really didn't hear what was going on around me. I just thought.

       I thought about how well or bad things are going between Lillie and Kobie. I thought if why she was so light. I thought of Maces next move.

      He could attack, knock us out at our weak time, he could stage his own death and then murder us at his funeral. 

          "Levi, let's go to bed." Lillie said while pulling me behind her. 

           "Wait where's Kobie?" I asked while trying to keep my attitude in check. 

             "He went to his cabin. Now I want to sleep, NIGHT YOU LOVE BIRDS!!!!" She yelled the las part to Serenity and Caden. Her responses were 'shut up' and 'night' .

           As we walked to our tent I couldn't help but feel like someone was watching me. I glanced around real fast but all I saw was the never ending woods. 

       But the thought of being watched left my mind when I saw Lillie unzipping the tent. 

       "You know, you never did eat." I said while looking at her trying to read her mind. Man I have the wrong powers. 

        Her mouth opened to answer but was cut short by a blood curdling scream.

One that came right where Serenity and Caden tent was.
