The End of the World: Chapter 8

Second episode: The Doctor takes Savannah and Rose into the future.

Savannah's POV

"So, Savannah and Rose Tyler, tell me, where do you want to go? Anywhere you want. Any time you want. Backwards or forwards in time? It's you choice. What's it gonna be?", the Doctor asked us.

"Forwards," Rose said quickly.

The Doctor looked at me, wanting to know my decision. I nodded my head.

The Doctor pressed a few buttons. "How many years?", he asked us.

"One hundred years," Rose asked hesitantly, as if doubting the TARDIS's functions.

I nodded my head again when the Doctor looked at me.

He pressed a few more buttons and pulled some leavers. The TARDIS started to shake and make sounds. After a few minutes, it stopped.

"There you go. Step outside those doors, and it's the 22nd Century," the Doctor told us.

"You're kidding!", Rose exclaimed.

"That's probably a bit boring though, right? Let's go further forward, yeah?", I asked the Doctor, smirking.

I saw Rose roll her eyes at me, as the Doctor took the TARDIS further into the future.

When we stopped again, he pointed at the door. "100,000 years into the future. Step outside, it's the year 12005, the New Roman Empire," he told us, impressed with himself.

Even though I did think he was impressive (and handsome doing it), I enjoyed teasing him, so I rolled my eyes and said, "You think you're so impressive, don't you?", a smirk on my face as I stared at him next to me with my arms crossed.

He looked at me, shocked. "I am so impressive!", he exclaimed with a slight frown on his face, offended.

I scoffed and smirked even harder. I stepped a bit closer with my arms crossed, stared into his eyes and said, "You wish, sweetie!"

"Right then, you!"

I stepped back slightly, as he had surprised me by bopping me on the nose gently when he said 'you'. I playfully pouted at him as he moved away too fast for me to get him back.

"You asked for it! I know exactly where to go!", he told us, quickly pressing down buttons and leavers.

The TARDIS shook for a few minutes before we landed.

"Where are we?", Rose asked. The just pointing at the door.

"What's out there?", I asked. The Doctor just pointed at the doors again.

Rose and I looked at the Doctor, then the door before smiling at him. Rose walked to the door and out.

The Doctor was about to follow Rose out, before I grabbed him by the arm and put my arms around his neck. He placed his hands gently on my waist and looked down at me.

I smiled at him. "You know, you don't have to prove you're impressive to me. I already know you are." My smiling got bigger. I then turned it to a smirk and said, cheekily, "I just like teasing you."

I then quickly kissed pecked him on the lips, winked and ran outside to Rose.

The Doctor's POV

I know I shouldn't, but I was really beginning to like Savannah, in a romantic way. I had only know her for a couple of hours, but she intrigued me. It hadn't been that long after the war, so it's surprised me that she's been able to make me joke around and, especially, flirt back with her. When she's around, just for a few minutes, I forget about the horrors of the war. She's the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, and because I have the TARDIS, I have seen and met a lot of women in my years. I had found out that she was clever, a bit sassy, adventurous, was an amazing kisser and she somehow knew a lot about me before I even met her. I thought back to what she knew about me.
