Martha's POV

The Doctor had taken Savannah and I on a couple more adventures after the whole 1969/Weeping Angels adventure. Right now, the Doctor and Savannah were bickering about how to fly the TARDIS correctly while we were flying through space.

I shook my head slightly and rolled my eyes at their bickering, while I held on tightly to the console railing.

'They do this all the time! Honestly, it's like they're a married couple!....I bet they do get married in the future. I bet Savannah knows....Oh, but she won't tell me...They are so cute together!', I thought, smiling, as I saw the Doctor flick Savannah on the nose and give her a quick kiss.

I was brought out of my thoughts, as I was nearly knocked to the ground by the TARDIS shaking, making me roll my eyes.

'He should really let Savannah fly the TARDIS when she's here. She's much better at it...not like I'm going to tell him that...or maybe I should....I wonder where we're going next,' I thought, as the Doctor pressed another button that almost made me fall over.

The Doctor's POV (10th)

"Cardiff!", I announced, as I pulled a lever resulting in the TARDIS landing with a bump.

I glanced over at Savannah to see what her reaction was to the landing, as we had been arguing again about how to navigate the TARDIS properly, which I was. Savannah just rolled her eyes and shook her head slightly, but I could see that she had a slight smile on her face that she was trying to hide from me, but I had already seen it. Her smile made me smile.

'She has such a beautiful smile,' I thought, distractedly.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by Martha, "Cardiff!?"

"Cardiff!", Savannah said, smiling at her, making Martha and I smile at her enthusiasm.

"The thing about Cardiff is that it's built on a rift in time and space, just like California and the San Andreas Fault, but the rift bleeds energy. Every now and then, I need to open up the engines, soak up the energy and use it as fuel," I explained to Martha.

"So it's a pit stop!", Martha said, now understanding.

"Exactly! You're learning," Savannah said with a smile.

"Should only take 20 seconds," I said, pressing some buttons before looking at the scanner. What I saw, confused and worried me slightly, "The rift's been active."

"Wait a minute...they had an earthquake in Cardiff a couple years ago. Was that you?", Martha asked me, moving next to me and frowning slightly.

"Bit of trouble with the Slitheen. Long time ago. I was a different man back then," I told her before I was interrupted by Savannah.

"Ah. No, I don't think so. Spoilers. That's all I need to know. Especially if I was there."

"You weren't. Well, not there for most of it," I told her.

She gave me a long look before I could say anything else.

"Right, sorry," I said sheepishly after a few seconds.
