Rose's POV

As soon as the man told me to run, he dragged me with him, running out of the doors.

However, all of the shop window dummies soon followed after us, after one of them had narrowly missed hitting me when I was dragged away by hitting a pipe that was behind me on the wall.

They ran after us through another set of doors until we reached a lift. The man quickly pressed the button and dragged me inside. The strange man had just pressed the button to close the lift, when one of the dummies arms tried to stop the door from closing and get to us.

The man quickly grabbed onto its arm, its hand still moving, trying to get a hold of him. However, the man fought him off until he pulled his arm off.

'Wait, What?!', I thought. 'That's not possible! Even if it was, there should be loads of blood! This has got to be a joke!'

The lift doors finally closed and we were traveling away from the dummies. The strange man started to examine the arm he'd just pulled off. I looked at him weirdly.

"You just pulled his arm off!", I exclaimed.

"Yep", he replied then threw me the arm, which I caught awkwardly. "Plastic", he said.

"Very clever, nice trick", I said, trying to get my breath back. "Who were they then, students? Is this this a student thing or what?"

The man turned around with his arms crossed over his chest and looked at me like I was the weird one who had just pulled someone's arm off.

He replied with, "How could they be students?"

I drew up blank and murmured to him, "I don't know," whilst really wishing Savannah was here right now, so that she could answer him instead of me.

Finally, I came up with an answer that my big sister would be proud of if she was here, especially when I was answering logically after what just happened.

"Cuz, to get that many people dressed up at one time and being silly, they gotta be students".

The man turned to me and smiled. He replied with, "that makes sense well done".

"Thanks", I replied.

However, he replied with, "they're not students".

I frowned a little. 'Who were they then?', I thought.

I wanted to know so I asked him this and that when they are found, Wilson would call the police....'which I hope he was doing right now after the scare they just caused me," I thought.

Instead, he asked who Wilson was and I answered with, "Chief Electrician".

He answered back with something I wasn't expecting and made me feel a bit sick. Not only because of what he said, but because of the way he said, like he didn't care or it was a daily thing for him.

"Wilson's dead", and he walked out the lift doors which were now open.

"That's not funny, that's sick!", I answered back, surprised, whilst I walked out of the lift.

Instead of replying back, he placed his hands on my shoulders and moved me back a bit and said, "hold on, mind your eyes", and turned to the buttons for the lift.

"I've had enough of this, now", but he wasn't really listening to me as he had pulled out a silver stick thing that had a blue light and made a weird noise. I was wondering what he was doing, but not for long because there were suddenly sparks of light on the buttons control panel, which caused me to gasp, surprised.

"What was that? Who are you, then? Who's that lot down there?", I asked but he had just ran off without answering my questions, so I started to follow him.

'Honestly, this is rather rude and how can he act like that about someone dying, even if he didn't know Wilson'

He didn't answer my questions until I repeated my last one, in which he replied with, "they're made out of plastic, living plastic. They are being controlled from a relay device in the roof. Which would be a great, big problem if I didn't have this", he produced a red box with loads of buttons on it and made weird noises from his pocket ('wait, how did that fit in there?! It's too big!'). We had finally reached an exit to outside, which he opened and pushed me out.

"I'm gonna go up stairs and blow it up. And I might die in the process, but don't worry about me, no, you go home. Go on! Go and have your beans on toasts. Don't tell anybody about this, because if you do, you'll get them killed".

I didn't get all of what he said because he was talking really fast, but I managed to get the jist of it.

He closed the door, with him still inside the building. I thought that was the end of meeting him, until he suddenly opened the door again and said, "I'm the Doctor, by the way. What's your name?"

"Rose."

"Nice to meet you, Rose. Run for your life!" He said manically and shut the door for the last time.

Instead of going after him, as he could die, he'd told me not to worry about him and to be honest I was too scared and freaked out to go back in there, so I listened to him and ran until I reached the front of the store, where I was to cross the road. I looked around, at the shop and at the mannequins in the window's, with the plastic arm in my hand. I crossed the road and was halfway across, when I was almost run over by a taxi. When I ran passed it, the taxi driver shouted at me to watch where I was going.

'Why did this mannequin and 'Doctor' have to happen? I was almost ran over because I wasn't paying attention'.

I finally made it to the other side of the road, and looked at the store. However, nothing happened so I turned away.... until there was explosion behind me, which made me jump and gasp. I turned to the shop, which had explosions going off. There was fire coming from the roof and suddenly the windows exploded outwards, with fire following in their wake.

I watched as people near the shop started to scream and run away, hoping not to get hurt. I looked at the burning building then at the people one more time, before I ran off for home.

In the corner of my eye, I thought I ran past a blue box which had never been there before. I would know if I had seen it before, as I had lived in this city all my life and it had never been there.

'Could this be a coincidence?'
