Savannah's POV

We walked down into the cold basement, where the recently departed were kept, lying under white sheets.

"Talk about Bleak House," the Doctor said.

"Thing is though, Doctor, the Gelth don't succeed, 'cuz I know they don't. I know for a fact there's no corpses walking around in 1869," Rose tried to persuade the Doctor not to go along with it.

"Time's in flux, Rose. Changing every second. Our cozy little world can be rewritten like that," I told her, snapping my fingers at the end of the sentence.

"Nothing is safe. Remember that, nothing," the Doctor added.

"Doctor, I think the room's getting colder," Charles said, looking around the room.

"Here they come," I murmured, looking around me and hearing noises just before a Gelth flies out of a gas lamp that was by the door and under a stone archway.

"You've come to help! Praise the Doctor, praise him!", the Gelth said in a child-like voice.

Rose stepped forwards slightly, and demanded, "Promise you won't hurt her!"

However, the Gelth ignored her and continued talking, "Hurry, please, so little time. Pity the Gelth!"

"I'll take you somewhere else after the transfer. Somewhere you can build proper bodies. This isn't a permanent solution, alright," the Doctor told the alien, moving forward and in front of us.

"My angels. I can help them live!", Gwyneth said, firmly.

"Okay, where's the weak point?", the Doctor asked.

"Here, beneath the arch," the Gelth informed him.

"Beneath the arch," Gwyneth murmured, walking quickly beneath it.

"You don't have to do this," Rose said, following her, hoping to change her mind.

Gwyneth touched Rose gently on the cheek, said, "My angels," and let go. I quickly pulled Rose back.

"Establish the bridge. Reach out to the void. Let us through," the Gelth instructed Gwyneth.

"Yes, I can see you. I can see you. Come to me. Come to this world, poor lost souls," Gwyneth said, with a dreamy voice and wide, glazed over eyes.

"It is begun. The bridge is made."

Gwyneth opened her mouth and more blue gas-like creatures flew out into the room.

"There's rather a lot of them, isn't there?", Charles asked, staring up at the creatures as they flew around the room, more and more flying out of Gwyneth's mouth.

"She has given herself to the Gelth. The bridge is open. We descend," the Gelth said.

Suddenly, the alien behind Gwyneth became demonic, the blue gas-like creature disappearing into a red gas-like creature.

"The Gelth will come through in force," it said in a dark voice.

'Damn it! I was really hoping something like this wouldn't happen! Can't say I'm too surprised though," I thought.

"You said you were few in number!", Charles yelled out, an expression of horror on his face.

"A few billion! And all of us in need of corpses," it said in a dark voice, and the spirits quickly flew into the bodies dotted around the room, which then stood up.
