Nanami's POV

"Good Morning, class. Today, we have our surprise quiz."

Mrs. Cortez announced as she entered the room.

Second class ko palang 'to, quiz agad? Aish! Another kalbaryo na naman para sa araw na 'to.

Kinuha ko yung papel ko mula sa bag at nilapag sa arm chair ko. Habang hinahanap ko yung ballpen ko sa bag, may biglang kumalbit sa balikat ko. Napaharap tuloy ako sa pagaakalang si Mrs. Cortez.

"A-Ahm... A-Ano yun?" I asked him shyly.

Kinamot niya yung batok niya while he's smiling. And I found it cute. Wait, what?

"Pahinging p-papel."

I startled when Mrs. Cortez ask him, "Mr. Byun! What are you doing out there?! Literature ang klase ko at hindi Courting Subject!"

I heard some of my blockmates making ruckus inside our classroom, lalo na yung mga boys. Yung mga girls naman? Like this—

"How could you, Baek?! How could you to court a girl like Nanami?!"

"Gross! Mas maganda pa si Baekhyun kesa sa kanya,"

"Hindi sila bagay! Pwe!"

I didn't know but I felt my cheeks turn into red. I feel embarassed.

"N-No, Mrs. Cortez! H-Humihingi lang po siya ng papel!" I said defensively.

Kingina naman kasing papel yan!

"Is that so?" Mrs. Cortez asked. "Hurry up and give him a piece of paper. Our quiz is about to start."

I sighed. Pumilas ako ng isang papel at ibinigay kay Baekhyun 'yun.

"Ayan, salamat." Ako pa tuloy nagpasalamat dahil sa kahihiyan.

He smiled at me. "Thank you!" Bumalik na rin siya sa usual place niya.

Wait, bakit sakin siya humingi ng papel?

"Ms. Park collect all the papers of boys and Mr. Byun, collect all the papers of girls."

Geez! Mrs. Cortez! Ano pa bang pakulo 'to? I swear, hindi po ito nakakatuwa! For sure, sasalubungin ako ng mga fangirls ni Byun sa labas.

Their glares will kill me! And that gives me goosebumps!

Like what Mrs. Cortez ordered, I collect the boy's answer shits, I mean, answer sheets.

"Your answer sheet, Mr. Byun." I said formally.

He laughed.

Ano'ng nakakatawa?! gusto kong ibulyaw yan sa kanya.

"You're too formal, Nanami." he said.

"Thank you pala sa papel kanina. Anyway, yung answer sheet mo pala? Amina."

I gave him my sheet at kinuha na rin yung kanya.

"Mrs. Cortez, eto na po yung answer sheets ng boys."

"Mrs. Cortez, here's the answer sheets of all girls,"

May hinanap si Mrs. Cortez sa Literature book niya.

"Here's the answer key. Kayo ang magcheck niyan. I need those papers after lunch, okay? Para mairecord ko. Class dismiss."

Naiwan kaming nakatayo ni Baekhyun sa tapat ng teachers table. Parang, we need enough time to absorb what Mrs. Cortez said.

"Okay," sambit ko sabay lakad papuntang upuan ko. I gathered my things and lalabas na sana ako ng room when Baekhyun called me.
