It was pass the usual time of his wake but the exhaustion had dragged his sleep out longer than expected. He didn't complain, he intended to rise with her anyway. There he laid, eyes open as she fluttered her own, although useless now. Not paying a heed to the stare, she sat up, swung her legs down the bed and stood up, dragging the blanket with her.
She stood in front of the mirror, her lashes bat for a while, as though trying her hardest to form some kind of image, any image at all. But behind those pale irises, only darkness can be seen. And still, she tried.
"Let's see, your hair is disheveled and your cheeks are tinted pink." Snuggling up behind her, Shogo began describing her state "Your face is delicate as always, and so are your red lips."
"What about ...?" her hand trailed up.
"Your eyes are sharply defined by the dark lines of your lashes. Your pupil striking. You'll make heads turn as you walk."
"Is that so?" seemingly satisfied with the answer, she smiled, letting her hand drop down to her side.
"Yukari." He whispered, placing his lips on top of her head, his arms snaking around her frame "Will you stay with me?"
If whatever request he meant expanded to infinity, she wasn't sure she could comply. But his desperate clutch pulled her mind back to him, again and again. She knew she was never able to stray far from him, after all, he always comes back like a haunting image of a dream, and she couldn't help but smile and jump into his embrace once more. This was no exception, the fact that she's literally standing in his arms did not help. Biting her lips to swallow up tears, she reached up to hold his arms even closer to her body.
"Yes."
