Floyd Lawton aka Deadshot

"Wake up, Mr.Lawton," A soft voice rang as I shuffled my body. I didn't know where the fuck I was, but I felt I was in a stone hard bed. I moved my body to the side, but it made me wince in pain. I never felt so weak before in my life. I groaned in pain and felt soft hands settle me down.

"It is all ok, Mr.Lawton. You must feel some pain, but the medicine we gave you should help with that. All you need to do is relax."

I took a half breath through my nose and awaited for my blurry vision to clear up. As it began to clear, I saw a young red head. Her green eyes went perfect with her sunset skin. Her red hair seemed blonde with the light sun rays hitting her.
I wanted a better look at her, but I really couldn't see nothing through my right eye thanks to all these damn bandages. I turned my head to see her more, but that was a bad idea because the side of my head with the bandages shot a agonizing wave of pain.

"You're so stubborn," The red headed nurse giggled. All I did was glare and fight back from slamming her head through the window.

"Now, Mr.Lawton, I have some bad news. The incident with the other prisoner cost you your eye."

Shit! I quickly placed my hand over the bandages, but I felt a bump where my eye used to be. As I felt around the bandages, the nurse kept talking.

"Miraculously the bullet didn't actually get to your eye but instead it grazed it. So we had to take it out to prevent infection. When you heal you will most likely have a scar," The bitch said that all with a smile.

"It must be easy," I whispered.

"What is, Mr.Lawton?" She asked with the same stupid smile on her face.

"To tell someone that they're nothing but a cripple or to let them know that someone they love is dead. It must be so easy because you're so fucking perfect with your little job and all so perfect life. Your life is so easy. All you have to do is deliver bad news to sad people. Have that fucking smile on your face when you're cashing in your check, sweetie."
I was surprisingly calm while saying this. I took in pride as I saw her smile fade away and her eyes leaked with tears.

"Stop harassing the poor girl, Lawton," A figure behind a curtain commanded. The figure revealed to be Amanda Waller. I caught my breath in small shock. I thought she died in Coast City.

"Waller?" I was in disbelief as I saw her move closer to my bed. The nurse left with tears in her eyes. I didn't care about her, all I was focused on was Waller.

Waller has always been a tough bitch. Her dark skin went well with her dark pixie cut. Her outfit was a pants suit but it was tight which showed the out line of a bullet proof suit. Same old Waller, always prepared for anything.

Waller's posture demanded for obedience, but I always fought her off. I saw that she had a large envelope. She slammed the envelope on my lap. I positioned my self upwards, but groaned in pain. I fought back another groan--Waller doesn't approve of weakness.

I didn't even open the envelope ,I looked at her stern hateful face. I know why she is here.

"No," Was all I said as she got closer to me.
"You will do this." Waller said as her voice grew with authority.

"No, I fucking won't," I felt my hands ball up into fists.

"You listen to me, Lawton. Don't forget who saved your sorry ass from your father," I looked away. Why does she always bring up something I try so hard to forget? "And brothers'death case," Waller spat.

Typical Waller, always has something to hold against me.
"Fuck off, Waller. The debt was paid." I growled at her between my teeth.

Waller just huffed and lifted up her shirt from the side.

"This debt," Waller began as I saw a scar from her lower abdomen to the top of her belly button,"Was paid when you pulled me away from Diablo's fire that set off a load of grenades. I am repaying a debt to you by saving you--again."

"X?" I asked not bothering specifying. She knew exactly what I meant. I saw Waller's face grow angry.

"Task Force X is dead. But something better is coming from the ashes." Waller said with disappointment and determination in her voice.

"I am so sorry if I am more than skeptical on how you're helping me . It seems to me that I am helping you." I spoke with sarcasm. Waller just sat down with a smirk.

"Nothings free," Waller then opened the untouched envelope and grabbed out of it a small stack of papers. She then spread the papers over my lap as I sat on the bed.

"Meet the Suicide Squad," Waller said as she sat back down in her seat. I picked one paper up and read a name. I glanced over them and turned my head to Waller.

"Let me guess," I saw Waller's serious face and knew she was ready for a smart remark, "We kill ourselves." I coughed up a laugh.

"If you fail, yes." Waller added, this made me stare at her. I tired to intimidate her, but that was never easy.
"Work for me," Waller got up from her seat, "And you'll be free." I glared deep into her brown eyes.

"If I say no?" I asked.
"Then you stay here, without my help."
"I've survived three years without you." I spat as she had a small smile.
"I wouldn't call that," Waller pointed to her eye, "surviving."

I sucked in a hard breath to help cool me down. Waller has always been quick with comebacks. I decide to look down at the papers and check what information it had.

Do I really want to work with Waller again? She has always been a pain in the ass. I then noticed one paper with no picture and little to no information. I looked up to Waller who was about to leave.

"Waller," I spoke up which made her turn to me, "I can't work in a squad with a ghost." This made Waller grow another smile.

"Ex-military. Master strategist, marksman, and swordsman. Human experiment turned vogue. Enhanced brain capacity, strength, speed, and stamina. One, if not the best, assassin in the business. They call him-Deathstroke." Waller waited for a reaction. But I was in shock, but that didn't last long. I blew up and yelled. Each word spewed with venom.

"You shady bitch! You would want me to work with the bastard that did this to me! The second I set my eye on that son of a bitch I will kill him!"

"You won't do a thing to him. I own you, and if you even think about sabotaging my mission you will find yourself missing more than an eye," Waller came closer to me.

"Understood?"

I stayed quite and fought another urge of anger. She then made her way to the door.

"I'll give you three days to heal and think about it." With that last remark Waller left the room. I was alone and in pain. I looked down and began to observe the papers that lied in front of me.
I don't like this.

I looked down at the picture less paper.

"We will have our day," I said as I looked down to the paper, "Slade."
