~~~~Floyd Lawton aka Deadshot~~~~
After what seemed like forever, Slade and I finally made it to his hideout.It was a aboaned building on the outskirts of Gotham Bay.The building was tall, with broken windows.The stone seemed to leak and had mold forming. As we walked closer I tried not to step on the wet mud or the jagged lake that threaten to scoop me away as it mockingly got closer. The stench was revolting, and the grey mist fogged my vision.
"What a place,"I spoke sarcastically, which Slade responded with a scoff.
"What type of idiot do I look like to have my hideout in a area of glamour and nosy people?"
I dryly laughed and smirked.
"Yeah, but it must be a hassle to handle all this filth," I extended my arm and displayed the grotesque environment.
Slade kept leading the way and opened the door.Of course, he didn't have the manners to keep it open for me.It's taking a lot in me not to put a bullet in between his eyes.
The room was large and empty. Cobwebs circled the ceiling coroners.There was table next to the oversized window, but it was dusty and had roaches running on it.I looked down to see a rat run to its hole.
"Like what you've done with the place, Wilson..," I lied as I didn't bother hiding my disgust.
Slade then led me to a lower floor what seemed to be a garage.There were many cars, but it was either without doors or glass.As we walked passed them I say that the cars housed families of rats.
Slade then went to the door that had the sign of stairs going up.
"You brought us down here just so we can walk back up?!" I yelled with my voice full of annoyance, but he opened the door to the dark room.He walked in first and I didn't have a choice but to follow him.When I walked in I saw that Slade didn't move. He stood still and when I squeezed my self in I realized we were in a tight room.So tight that our arms touched, and believe me I tried to keep away from him.
"Oh, I don't know about you, but I'm really uncomfortable. Why is this room so damn small if its supposed to hold a flight of stairs?!If you think you're gonna kill me by claustrophobia then you better rethink your-"
"Rose." Slade spoke,which made me stop talking as I saw the second he said that name a blue light came from the side of the walls and ceilings.
Slade then turned his back to me and I saw as the wall he faced lifted from the ground.As it lifted Slade walked without hesitation to the now white wall, brightly lit hallway.I didn't move for a minute as I was dumbfounded. I poked my head out to the bright clean hallway.
"OK...that was pretty cool."I then saw the wall above me slowly coming back down. I gasped and jumped from the once tight area and onto the hallway.I turned to the wall that fully descended and locked in place.I walked down the hallway and turned.After walking down some stairs I saw Slade waiting in a long room.
"All that build up and this is the place,"I studied the empty room, "Pretty anticlimactic if you ask me."
"I didn't,"Slade spat between his teeth as he pressed something on a wall.
What was he doing?
That's when I heard a hissing noise and felt the floor beneath me rise. I took a step back before it raised higher. From the floor raised a narrow opening and some stairs going down.Slade began to walk down the stairs as the doors at the bottom opened. I followed into a large room with countlesss guns, swords, RPGs, and grenades hang from the wall.In the middle was three oversized computers. I was in awe and circled the room.I scoffed and looked back at Slade.
