Chapter 21

I walked into my apartment and the sight before my eyes sucked the breath out of my lungs.

"Why are you doing this Gideon , please I beg you " I heard a high pitched woman's voice say. I knew that annoying voice anywhere,  the bitch came to my apartment,  to see him!!!  How could she have known?????
I walked in further taking of my heels so I don't make a noise,  I saw Corinne holding onto Gideon for dear life,  he didn't want to touch her as he had kept his hands to his side . Neither one of them had noticed me,  I stayed out of sight.
"Please,  just one more chance,  we can be happy together again.
"Get your hands off of me Corinne.  I can't stand you, I hate you,  you know if I hadn't let you get between Serena and I,  I would be a dad,  she would be my wife,  what part of ' I don't see a future with you' did you not understand,  I love Serena,  she makes me happy,  and I would appreciate if you respected her,  stop trying to ruin this, I won't let you,  you need to leave " I could hear the venom in Gideon's voice.  Corinne didn't get the hint  though  and she flung herself on him again and began begging him  she got on her knees.  I couldn't  help the chuckle  that escaped my lips, I don't know whether it was the liquid courage or just the pure hatred I have in me for this poor excuse of a woman,  I dashed out of my hiding place,  clapping dramatically,  and laughing bitterly  , I looked at both their faces,  shock was clear in Gideon's face,  and resentment clear in HER face.
"Brava , Corinne,  how long did you practise that in the mirror?  Goddamn  you deserve an Oscar for that performance " I say venomously sweetening  my voice and smiling at the weak woman in front of me,  I began again,  this time without  the fake smile. 
" Corinne...  Aah the infamous Corinne.. You are probably  the biggest mistake the devil has ever made, I know now that you think of me as  this little girl that's just here for the time being,  allow me to correct you." I spat,  I saw how taken aback she was by my words,  I watched Gideon stride over to me and stand behind me as if to say that he has my back.  "Gideon and I were together when I was young and naive  , I agree,  but even then,  he loved me more then he had ever loved or thought he loved you,  he wanted me back the second I walked out,  he can't live without  me,  you on the other hand are not in love with him,  you're desperate for fame,  nobody knew who you were before Gideon , the only time you had the paparazzi all over you was when they pictured the two of you together,  and even then my name was in that article  , you only get interviews  because you can't keep my name out of your mouth,  forget it bitch this man behind ME , holding  onto ME  is all mine,  and you will get what's coming to you,  I'll see your ass in court..  SECURITY! , I yelled " and I watched her jaw drop as Gideon  pulled me closer to him and kissed the back of my head, I saw the resentment in her eyes,  all I did was smirk and walk away.  I saw her being escorted by  security out of the building,  with that I headed upstairs to my room  and just threw myself on my bed.  Shortly after that Gideon came upstairs and crawled into  bed beside me.
"I'm sorry for everything " he said,  kissing my neck.  " I don't feel like discussing this,  please just come to bed we'll talk about this some other time" I exclaimed,  yawning. 
"Were you drinking? "
"Yeah,  I was with Annalise, and I called my lawyer,  I'm suing her" that was all I said before falling into a dreamless sleep.

'Finally Saturday',  I thought to myself while making breakfast. I felt eyes watching me,  and turned around to see a very attractive Gideon,  shirtless with sweatpants and socks,  I love this man,  I walked up to him and watched  that gorgeous smile adorn his face, I placed a kiss on his lips, he grabbed my waist and wrapped my legs around him , I giggled  at the sudden gesture, he kissed my neck and whispered in my ear " Nice shirt beautiful,  I must say it looks better on you " feeling his warm breath against my neck sent shivers down my spine,  but before things could escalate my phone began to ring,  so I had to get it.  "It's Christian " I said to Gideon  as I checked my caller ID.  I noticed him stiffen at the mention of Christian's name.
" Mr Grey,  what's up? " I said jokingly
"Good morning to you too, Reselle,  I wanted to confirm your attendance for dinner tonight "
"Always so formal,  I'll text you soon,  I've been a bit...busy lately so I haven't gotten to discuss it with Gideon  ,I'll let you know in the next 10 minutes or so..."
"I hope you can make it,  Mia will be here,  take care sweetheart"
"Thank you "

With that we said goodbye and hung up,  I walked back into the kitchen to see Gideon sipping on his coffee.
"So what did he want to know? " he questioned,  "He invited us to dinner later on,  would you like to go? " I asked sweetly. "Do you want to go? " he asked. " Yes please" I smiled at him,  coaxing him into saying yes.
"Well then I guess we're going " he said kissing my nose and hugging me,  we took a shower together and decided to get out of the apartment and get some lunch...
