“Welcome home Brett!” I cheer as we walk through the front door, ignoring the paparazzi that always seem to be outside. “There’s a spare bedroom at the very top or you could just have mine, Gabby’s or Lili’s room. We never sleep in them anyway. We’re always with the boys.”

Brett smiles shyly, my heart stopping at the beautiful sight, before saying, “No! No! I’ll just have the spare bedroom, Liz. You girls might need your bedrooms for something.”

“It’s Lizzie.” Joe mumbles, wrapping an arm round my waist. “Her name’s Lizzie.”

“Oh, sorry.” Brett blushes slightly, looking embarrassed.

“No Liz is fine!” I reassure the boy in front of me, glaring at Joe. “Friends call me Liz and you’re my friend so feel free!”

Brett grins happily and nods, “Ok! I’m just going to put my stuff in my room, if that’s ok.”

“Go ahead!” Gabby points up the stairs, “Keep going up to the very top and you’ll find a green door. That’s your room!”

“Thanks Gabby.” Brett smiles at Gabby before making his way up the stairs. I can’t help but look at his ass until it disappears.

“Wow.” Lili sighs, grinning. “Where the hell did Daz find him?”

“Probably in a cardboard box outside the studio.” Noah mutters, glowering up at the ceiling as though he could still see Brett.

“Or in a dustbin.” Logan tells us, glaring at the stairs. “How come he gets the spare room, anyway? We’ve been trying to convince you girls for months to let us have it but you wouldn’t let us!”

“Yeah that’s because you wanted to turn it into a cinema room. We do not need a cinema room Lo.” Lili informs him sternly. “However, Brett does need a bedroom.”

“No he doesn’t. He could sleep on the sofa.” Joe mumbles before saying louder, “How do we know he can sing though? He might be terrible!”

“He’s not. I was singing with him earlier! He’s amazing. Why would Daz pick someone who can’t sing, anyway?” Gabby points out as she throws her coat on the sofa and takes her shoes off.

The boys all look at each other before looking away, grumbling to themselves. I don’t see why they’re being so difficult! They never have this kind of reaction when we talk to other guys and we’re constantly flirting with Rich and Daz!

“I’m going to see if Brett needs some help!” Gabby declares, heading for the stairs. “Anyone else wanna come with me?”

“Yeah alright.” I volunteer, following Gabby. “Coming, Lil?”

“Yeah.” Lili nods before turning to the boys, “You three can make dinner. Do not just order pizza like last time!”

I grin at the boys’ faces before I lead the way to Brett’s room. Gabby tilts her head as we reach the door and I do the same as I hear music coming from inside the room.

“You Me At Six. Nice.” Gabby nods in acknowledgement before knocking on the door. “Brett! It’s us! Want some help?”

The door opens and I feel my jaw drop. I look to the side and see Lili and Gabby staring too. I quickly look back at the sight before me. Brett’s standing in front of us, shirtless. My eyes stare at his perfect 6 pack for a moment before Brett clears his throat awkwardly, bringing all three of us back down to Earth.

“Uh, sorry about that.” I say, rubbing at the back of my neck in embarrassment. “Want some help with moving your stuff in?”

“That would be great! Thanks!” Brett grins, holding the door open wide so that we can walk in. Once we’re in, he pushes the door close and walks over to a box which I can see is full of CDs.

“You have good taste in music.” Lili tells him, nodding towards his CD player where You Me At Six was still playing.

“Thanks Lili.” Brett smiles, picking up a stack of CDs and putting them on the shelf above the CD player as he spoke. “I’ve always loved You Me At Six. They inspired me to be part of a band.”

“Well I’m glad they did else we wouldn’t have you here with us.” I say, looking through another box. “Hey! You have beanies!”

I pull out a bright orange beanie and inspect it, grinning. Joe’s the only one I know, other than me, that wears beanie hats on a regular basis. But I can tell from the amount that Brett has that he wears them too.

“Yeah I have loads. Feel free to borrow any.” Brett tells me, waving towards the box.

I bite my lip as I think. I usually only borrow Joe’s beanies, it’s just something that we do, so I don’t know what his reaction will be if I started wearing Brett’s. I shrug after a second though. It’s only a hat. Joe won’t mind.

“Thanks Brett.” I grin at him before putting the beanies in a drawer. “I’ll put them here so that you can find them and so that I know where they are when I want to borrow one.”

I turn to see Gabby looking through pictures on the bed so I join her and soon Lili sits down too. We all look through the pictures and I smirk as I notice that in nearly every picture there was at least one girl in it.

“Ooh, it looks like you’re such a ladies man!” Lili voices my thoughts as she gets up, one hand on her stomach.

Brett grins awkwardly before mumbling something that sounds like, “Yeah, something like that.”

Lili goes to ask something but then I hear something. I put my hand up to silence her. She falls quiet, looking at me with a confused expression on her face. Brett and Gabby look at me too. I put a finger to my lips before making my way to the door. I pull it open and Noah, Joe and Logan fall through it. They land on top of each other, swearing in pain. They fall silent though when they look up to see me stood in front of them, arms crossed and looking angry. They stand up, looking sheepish.

“What are you doing?” I ask quietly but angrily.

All at once the three of them burst into conversation, trying to blame each other.

“Noah decided that-”

“Joe wanted to-”

“Shut up Lo! You were the one that-”

“SHUT UP!” Gabby shrieked, storming over. “We told you to cook dinner! Instead, you try to spy on us! What the hell guys! Get out and if you dare try to spy again...”

I see the boys all gulp as Gabby leaves the threat unfinished before leaving. Gabby slams the door and I know that she’s as angry as me right now.

From behind the door I hear the boys leave and Noah exclaim, “Well it looks like we’re in the doghouse. We’ll be sleeping on the sofas tonight for sure!”

“For once in his life, Noah’s got something right!” I growl as I sit down on the bed before looking up at Brett and smiling again, “Sorry about that. What do you want us to do next?”

Oh. My. God. I’m so sorry for making you guys wait for so long! I started this as soon as Alex posted the last chapter but then I got writer’s block and life got in the way and... well you get the idea! Hope you guys can forgive me! ~ Phoebe xxx
