Fascination ↠ Killian Jones [2]

Watching her parents, Alexa can't help noticing how much she and her sister were like the both of them. Apparently stubbornness ran in the family.

"This is good, they're warming up to one another. We'll be back in our time in no time." Alexa grins.

"That may be, Lex. But we have another problem." Killian retorts as he moves his gaze to Marian.

"I had to save her." Alexa defends.

"Sure, you did the noble thing — but she's supposed to be dead. Her presence in the Enchanted Forest could have unforeseen consequences." Killian presses.

"Killian, look at her. She's just a sweet woman. What harm could she possibly do?" Alexa inquires.

"What if she had a child who grows into a mass murderer? Or she gets tipsy some night and rides her horse into one of the dwarves and there's only six of them?" Killian questions. "Who knows. We're best not finding out, she doesn't belong here."

"Then let's bring her with us." Alexa suggests. "If she can't stay here in the past, then let's bring her to the future so we can keep the future we know intact."

"I have a feeling that this is going to be the best I get from you on the subject." Killian shakes his head before following Alexa as she walks over to Marian.

"Marian, we have to talk." Alexa begins. "Look, I don't know how to say this without it sounding crazy so I'm just gonna say it. We're not from here, we're from the future. And we need to take you with us.. to the future."

"The future?" Marian asks confused.

"You were supposed to die hours ago." Alexa admits. "And since we don't know what affect you being here might have on the future that we know — you have to come with us."

"I don't understand, I just want to get back to my family." Marian says.

"And they need to believe you're dead because that's what they've always thought." Killian states.

"Marian, please. You have to trust me on this." Alexa pleads.

"All due respect, but I don't trust you.. or believe you." Marian snaps as Alexa rolls her eyes and grabs a tree branch.

Hitting her Alexa watches as she falls unconscious into Killian's arms and he sets her down.

"Alright, we'll just kidnap you then." Alexa shrugs.
