Nicole watched as the colors flashed and the stars blew past her as the red Nissan Versa drove fast on the free way.The ginger turned her attention to her dad. "You know what I want to be when I'm older?" Sixteen year old Nicole asked her Dad.
"What Nicky?" Nicole's Dad answered looking at the rode but then at Nicole.
She snickered at the nickname her dad always used. "I wanna be a Police Officer, just like you."
Nicoles dad smiled. "I bet you will one day." Her dad looked back at the rode. "You know, you should never regret anything in life. If it's good, it's wonderful. If it's bad, it's experience." Nicole's Dad looked at his daughter and Nicole looked at her father.
The next thing you know a black truck came out of no where and collided with the red car. Its front end crumpled with the force of impact thrusting two-foot of metal back into the car. The windshield imploded, showering the insides with deadly slivers of glass. Both the driving wheel and dashboard compacted into one mangled mess. The rear side passenger door was savagely torn free from its hinges and the front two wheels were sent spinning out into the night.
Nicole woke up panting heavily. Cold sweat dripped down her face and spine. She sat up on her drenched white sheets. Nicole looked around her room making sure she was in reality. The moon light streamed through the window giving the room an ominous feel.
Nicole whipped the sweat and tears off her face. But more tears kept flowing out like a stream from a river.
Unfortunately she knew wasn't going back to bed anytime soon.
——————Nicole walked into the donut shop with her police uniform on and her hair up in a French braid.
"Hello Miss what can I get for ya?" One of the employees asked. She was a teenager, with long black hair with purple streaks.
"A vanilla dipped donut."Nicole responded. It was her favorite, and her Dads. Nicole would get Vanilla donuts every morning. You could say Nicole was a bit obsessed.
The ginger sat down in her police car with her donut in her hand. Suddenly her phone vibrated. Nicole looked at her messages.. How did Wynonna get my phone number?
WY: You coming haughtstuff?
N: yeah I'm on my way. Also, how did you get my phone number.
WY: I have my ways.
N: That's a little creepy. Don't you think?
Nicole drove for a while when suddenly her phone vibrated again. This time it was Nedley calling.
She pressed her phone against her hear "Hello?"
"Nicole, I'm just checking in. How's the Waverly case going?" You could hear the computer keys clicking from Nedley's line.
"We're making progress." Nicole answered honestly.
"We're?"
"Me and Wynonna."
"Wow, you really are making progress."
