Beautifully Broken (Wayhaught)

Waverly finished talking, it was quiet except for the trees tapping on the window. Everyone gaped at her with huge bug eyes; no one had expected Champ or Tucker to be capable of doing such a thing to anyone. It was horrible, and that was only an understatement.

Wynonna flung her arms around Waverly "I'm so sorry! We should have found you sooner." Wynonna cried, letting go of her sister to look at her. 

"Wynonna I'm fine. See, I'm alive." Waverly reassured patting Wynonna on the back and Wynonna nodded in return.

"How is that even possible?.. I mean three years?" Dolls cut in, he walked to Waverly and leaned on the bed. Guess that was his sign for affection.

"By a miracle." Nicole smiled. She looked at Waverly who was blushing. Do I really have an affect on Waverly? The cop thought.

It was now 8:30 PM, Dolls was the first to leave because he had to finish paperwork at the station, then Nedley because he was getting tired and wanted to go home. Wynonna and Nicole were reluctant to leave but Waverly said she would be fine.

"Are you sure?" Wynonna asked not wanting to leave Waverly's side.

"Yes, of course." Waverly hugged Wynonna one more time and watched as she made her way to the door.

"You coming Nicole?" Wynonna asked as she was almost out the room. Nicole and Wynonna both came in Nicole's police car, and both had to go back to the station to finish up some stuff for work.

"Yeah, just give me a second." Nicole responded, Wynonna nodded and waited for Nicole outside the hospital room.

"Hey Waverly." Nicole spoke, all Nicole wanted was to hold Waverly in her arms and never let go. This might be more then a crush.

"Yeah?" Waverly responded. Every time Nicole looked at her, it was as if every ounce of breath was taken from her lungs.

"I know you've been through a lot lately, so here's my number if you need anything." Nicole handed Waverly her business card. That's how you do it Nicole, very smooth..

Waverly took the card out of Nicole's hand, "Thank you, that means a lot." Waverly smiled.

"I'll see around." Nicole kissed Waverly on her cheek and walked out of the hospital room.

Wait.. did she just, she just.. Waverly was freaking out. Time seemed to stopped and Waverly's heart came to a halt. Her breath was caught in her throat. Waverly's cheek seemed to be burning. A small grin crept onto her face and her cheeks painted themselves rose red. Waverly glanced at the card, "Haught, of course." She mumbled

It's been a couple of weeks of Waverly being in the hospital, she had to get surgery's for some of her really bad injuries and also got some physical therapy. Wynonna was in and out to visit Waverly but had a new case with Dolls. Nicole was also in and out, but Nedley gave her a lecture about how she needed to focus on work. But every time Nicole could come, they learned something new about each other.

Finally it was the day Waverly could leave the hospital. Wynonna brought Waverly some black leggings and a baggy sweater for her to wear.
