This one's for onefrozenheart and her dislike of my baby's gap, hopefully this will convince you further of how wonderful he is ;)

*Your POV*

Staring blankly at my laptop's screen, I let out a long sigh as all the hope and determination vanished from my body; the three thousand word essay was due in for Wednesday and I had hardly even started. My fingernails tapped uniformly on the coffee shop table's wooden surface as I continued to passively stare at the cursor whilst it taunted me with every flash. Every time it appeared on my screen, I was reminded of my precious minutes that were slowly dwindling away.

Reaching out for my coffee, I took a large gulp and felt the caffeine shoot through my blood, only barely keeping my tired eyes open. I had become so absorbed in the glaring computer screen that I hadn't noticed the pair of gorgeous, dark-blue eyes that were looking at me.

"Hi there, do you mind if I sit with you?" His deliciously British accent questioned me as I instantly snapped back into the real world.

"Oh, um, of course." I shyly replied, tucking away a stray strand of hair behind my ear.

"I couldn't help noticing how tense you looked. Are you alright love?" He asked inquisitively, a hint of a smile forming on his lips.

"Oh yeah, there's just this huge essay for my class and it's kind of getting a little bit stressful." I politely answered his question as he smiled.

"Well, how about this? We can go for a walk to clear your head, that way some inspiration might come to you." There was a look in his eyes which told me that I couldn't say no - I just couldn't.

"You know what? I might just take you up on that." Gathering my things, I stood up, slung my bag on my shoulder and looked right at him. "Lead the way, Mr...um."

"It's Kyle. And yourself?" He said, throwing his jacket on.

"Y/N. Alright then, off we go." I followed him as he led me out of the quaint little cafe and took me to the heart of this beautiful, busy city.

On the way, we passed dozens of red buses, post boxes, and Hackney cabs. The city was an amalgamation of all things stereotypically British, it was exactly what I'd dreamt of when I first decided to become an exchange student in the UK. It was like I was falling in love with the city and the culture all over again.

"First stop on Kyle's tour of London: the famous Big Ben." I giggled as he played at being a tour conductor, his arms wildly flailing about as he pointed to random landmarks across the city.

"So, what's this thing then, Mr Kyle?" I asked, my brows furrowed in mock confusion, pointing at the London Eye.

"Why, that's very obviously Buckingham Palace. Each, of the compartments is a separate room. You see the one at the top right now? That's where the queen lives." He nodded sarcastically, his sharp wit clashing with my own. I'd met my match, it seemed.

I couldn't help but laugh at his antics - as silly as he was, I had to say I was entertained. We carried on to all of the recognisable landmarks, including the Tower of London, Oxford Street, London Bridge, and of course we stopped to photograph the numerous statues and monuments scattered about the city, commemorating different events in Britain's rich tapestry of history.

Eventually, we stopped for a rest on a bench somewhere in one of London's many public parks. It was there that I caught a glimpse of a red bus with 'Wimbledon 2018: book your tickets here now' plastered across its side but, also on the poster, there was the recognisable face of none other than Kyle himself. I looked at him.

"Wait, you're Kyle Edmund!" I almost shrieked.

"Indeed, I wondered how long it would take you." He chuckled to himself, playing it cool.

"So I've just spent the day with, to quote the BBC: 'Britain's rising star of tennis'?" Still unable to control myself, I questioned him further.

"Yep, you got me." He held his hands up in surrender, snickering. "Wait Y/N, you've got something on your cheek."

He carefully manoeuvred his face close up to mine, the tips of our noses almost touching as he placed a gentle fingertip on my face, brushing away a fallen eyelash, his eyes focused on the job. Then, they wondered, slowly at first. His gaze moved to my lips initially, then my nose, then he seemed to trace up the sides of my face, culminating in a blissful moment of eye contact as his steely blue eyes looked meaningfully into mine. He immediately turned the other way, a blush of colour, so obvious against his pale skin, rushing onto his cheeks.

There was a moment of silence.

Then, I gently placed my hand on his chin, my fingers coaxing his handsome face to look back at me. I didn't know what I was doing. I inched in closer, my eyes closing involuntarily as I felt his soft breath against my lips. His hands found their way onto my waist as I leaned in a little bit closer. I melted as his warm lips nestled themselves between mine, tingles coursing through me as I stayed there, wrapped up in his arms.

Reluctantly, we broke away.

"Well, thank you Kyle. I think I can just about manage that essay now." I giggled as he looked at me with a dumb, content look on his face.

"We should do this again next time you can't write an essay. Or whenever, just call me." He said, typing his own number into my phone.

"You know, I might just take you up on that." I winked as I leant back into the park bench, feeling those arms around me once again.

I love Kyle so freaking much! Ugh, he's so cute and perfect, maybe it's something to do with the fact he's English idk. As always, tell me what you thought and drop suggestions in the comments :)
