Hi guys! I realize this update took a while and I apologize for that. Parts of it are exciting and other parts may seem pointless but I promise it's all important and I wrote it in the best way. Please vote and comment! It takes no time at all and is greatly appreciated if you can! I hope you like this chapter!

Saying she was afraid would be an understatement. She was terrified.

Everyone disappeared from her sight and the box became pitch black. Although scary, it was so very peaceful and Ember couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. Even though Ember didn't know it, the audience could still see her, she just couldn't see them.

A sparkling light started to appear. It got closer and closer to Ember in the box. This wasn't something she was afraid of though. It looked like a Sparklefly. It stopped in the middle of the box. Ember, not knowing what else to do, crept towards the creature.

"You are Ember Anala." It said. Ember nodded her head. "There will be a task before you. At the end, you will know what Element is yours and also what your goal in life will be. Will you continue?"

"Uh yes and I have a quick question." Ember said hesitantly.

"You can't use the bathroom." The creature answered instantly.

"That's not what I was going to ask. I was going to ask: are you a Sparklefly?"

"Ah, yes! Someone smart for once! I can see great power within you! Continue on!" The Sparklefly approved. Ember mumbled a quick thank you and the Sparklefly disappeared.

"Miss? Hello? Can you do something for me?" A man wearing a hood asked politely. Ember didn't want to trust the man because she couldn't see his face but this was one of the tasks she had to complete and she couldn't run away from it. Another thing that made it hard for Ember to see the man at all, was that it was still dark with only one dimmed light hovering in the air.

"What do you need me to do?" Ember asked warily.

"See that forest?"

"Yeah."

"In it are some very special rocks. I need you to get them all for me."

"You want me to get all of the rocks from that forest and bring them to you?" Ember asked incredulously. This is exactly the type of task she would have to complete.

"No! That would be crazy! I need a specific type of rock. Listen and I will tell you what colors they are. I need a cornflower rock, an ebony rock, a crimson rock, a teal rock, a black rock, a gold rock, a platinum rock, a silver rock, a white rock, a verdant rock, a maroon rock, and a gray rock." The man nodded. "That's all I need."

"That's all? That's all! That's still quite a bit and how am I supposed to find a gray rock?" Ember demanded. This man had to be crazy. Ember knew it was a task and it was supposed to be tricky but this this was going to take hours unless she had a clue or a hint. "Am I allowed to have a hint?" Ember asked quickly hoping that the man would say yes. The man studied her for a moment.

"You have purple hair." The man said.

"Yes I do..." Ember said awkwardly. The man sighed deeply and looked her in the eye.

"The rules say nothing against a hint. No one has asked me that before but I suppose you can have one hint. Only one though." The man said anxiously. "Here is your hint: The rocks are normal sized and normal shaped but the colors are very vibrant. Yes, that is your hint." The man said to himself. That didn't help Ember much but it would have to do. It did help some. But not much.

"Thank you sir." Ember muttered as she walked into the forest. Ember wasn't afraid of the forest. If that was supposed to be part of the task, to see if she would go into the forest, that wasn't difficult. Ember couldn't believe that she was the only one who had asked for a hint. She hadn't known if she was going to get one but it was still worth a shot.
