A couple days later I was on the cliff with Derek again. The sun was setting but it was still a good half hour before it would be dark, I thought. We were sitting in the same spot as the other day and smiling at each other.

Then there was a huge flash and everything went dark. The sunset had suddenly turned into dark storm clouds. I heard thunder crash and saw lighting far off the cliff. It seemed as if it was raining everywhere except on the cliff. I looked around for Derek but couldn't find him.

There was another flash of lightning and standing in front of me was a tall man with short hair and a short beard. He was dressed all in dark leather. He started to smile and inside his mouth were razor sharp teeth. Protruding from his fingers were long, sharp claws.

I quickly stood up and said, "Who are you?! Where's Derek?!"

He laughed and replied, "Hello Lillian."

"How do you know who I am?"

He kept laughing, like he was mocking me. "Soon enough Lilian, soon enough you will know."

He kept coming toward me and I kept stepping back. I shouted at him, "Stay away from me! What did you do with Derek?!"

He laughed even more and replied, "Well, since you asked so nicely."

There was another flash and Derek was sitting on his knees next to the man. His hands were bound behind his back and there was a gag in his mouth. His eyes bulged open when he saw me and tried to say something, but his words were lost in the gag.

"Derek," I shouted. I tried to run over to him but somehow, I couldn't move. My feet were stuck to the ground.

The man moved toward Derek and put his hand on Derek's head. Then he spoke two words, "Join us," before pushing Derek off the cliff.

It was then I was finally able to move. I ran to the edge of the cliff and screamed for Derek. I collapsed to my knees and kept screaming, my head in my hands.

I finally looked up and I was at the school in the yard. The man was once again standing in front of me. One of his hands was raised and in his hands Danny was hanging by the throat.

I screamed for Danny and again the man said "join us". Danny then dropped on the ground, unconscious and the man disappeared. As I tried to reach Danny, people started dropping onto the ground around me. I checked Danny's pulse, but there wasn't one.

"Oh God," I whispered. Then I looked at the other bodies on the ground. They were all in the same position as Danny. I looked closer at them and recognized them all. On the ground I saw Storm, Jean, Mr. McCoy, Hope, Finn, the Professor, and Logan. I ran over to Logan and checked a pulse. Of course there wasn't one and again screamed. I collapsed and when I fell, I felt like I was falling from the sky. As I fell, all I heard was the man's voice. "Join us."

I woke up screaming and someone shaking me. My face was hot and streaked with tears. I opened my eyes and saw Logan, alive and breathing. I launched myself at him and hugged him.

I broke away and asked him, "Logan, where is everyone? Are they all okay?"

He looked back at me curiously and replied, "Everyone's fine, they were all sleeping. A lot of them heard you screaming. We tried to wake you up, but you just kept screaming. I came and told them I would handle it and that they should all to go back to their rooms. Danny, Hope, and that Derek kid stayed around longer but I eventually go them to got to their rooms too. Lily,what happened?"

I gave a relieved sigh. Thank God, I thought.

Then I looked at the clock and saw it was 3:17 in the morning. I told Logan about nightmare I had and he gave me a serious look.

"Who was he," he asked. "What did he look like?" I described the dark stranger from my dream to him. His expression grew even darker and he said, "You need to get some rest. We're going to see the Professor first thing in the morning."

"Okay," I replied. He kissed my forehead and I laid down. He got up to go to the door. "Logan," I said, "will you stay here with me?"

"Of course Kiddo," he said and he moved toward the couch next to my bed, grabbed a blanket, laid down.

"Logan?"

He replied, "Yeah?"

"Why do I need to see the Professor first thing?"

He sighed and sat up. "Because," he replied, "I think the man in your dream was Victor."
