Relax and Be Patient?

Hey guys! Sorry for the late update, I've been pretty busy. I hope the chapter makes up for it though!

The Proffesor said they would start looking for Victor and that I should just lay low. How am I supposed to just lay low and relax when I could be helping find my family? I just want to help, but Logan agreed that I should just wait and be patient. I told Danny, Hope, and Derek about what had happened and they decided to try to cheer me up. At least that's what they say they're doing. I think Logan had just told them to kee me busy so I don't do anything stupid. The four of us had become really close friends within the passing days after I had come here. Well, Danny and I stayed the same, but we got to know Hope and Derek really well. I began to find I was really comfotable with them all, like they were just as apart of my family as Logan.

Derek took us all to the cliff he had shown me after my first day. We had a picnic and watched a few movies on Danny's laptop. After the movies were all over, we layed and watched the sunset and then the stars. Danny and I were in the middle. Hope layed on Danny's other side and Derek layed on the other side of me. The other three started talking, but I wasn't really listening. I was too busy thinking about Victor and my family.

Derek must have noticed because he nudged me and said, "Hey, what's up? You still thinking about everything the Proffesor said?"

I heard Hope and Danny still talking, not noticing us and looked over at Derek. "No," I said, "I've totally and completely forgotten about it."

He chuckled and said, "Alright, alright. You know what I meant. Are you okay?"

I gave him a small smile. "Honeslty," I asked. "No. We have the ability to track down the guys that took my sister and my dad and I'm being told to just sit aside and wait when I could be helping."

He sighed and replied, "Lily, I know you want to help, but you just have to go along with it. The Proffesor knows what he's doing, you need to trust him."

"I know," I sighed. "Why are you so smart?"

"I like to consider it a gift," he said and we laughed.

We were laying on our sides facing each other smiling. We weren't saying anything, just enjoying each other's company. Danny and Hope were still talking, facing the opposite direction of us.

I started staring off into space when I felt something pushing my back. I looked back and saw it was the ground; it was rising at an angle, pushing me forward. I smiled back at Derek and we leaned into each other. The moment that our lips touched, I had forgotten about everything that had happened; my family being taken, Logan being my dad, Victor, everything. All that mattered was me and Derek. His kiss was sweet, his lips were soft, and I breathed in the smell of him; it was the smell of earth and water. A cold breeze pushed my hair out of my face, but I felt warm. It felt like there was a fire inside him, not hot, burning, and dangerous, but warm, inviting, and comforting.

"Hey, get a room," I heard. I knew it was Danny who said it and Derek and I broke away from each other. We both turned to face Danny and I laughed and said, "Oh shut up, Danny."

We all laughed and I noticed Danny was holding Hope's hand and they were right next to each other, barely any space between them. I smiled at Hope and she gave me a shy smile.

We talked for a while longer and then decided to leave. I had learned to make myself fly, but Derek carried me home anyway in a princess carry. I nuzzled into him, his jacket again surrounding me. It was just like the first night I had come here with him. Derek also made the wind push Hope and Danny so they could fly too. Well, more like falling with style (Disney and Pixar lovers better get that reference! Haha!) When we got back to the shcool, Danny said goodnight and left. Derek and I kissed goodbye and Hope and I walked back together. After Derek was out of sight, she elbowed me and I elbowed her back.

"So," she said, "you and Derek huh?" She smiled at me and wiggled her eyebrows.

I laughed and replied, "Yeah, will you stop?" I could feel myself blush a little then I shot back, "So, you and Danny huh?"

She blushed and smiled, embarrassed, down at her feet. "I don't know, I just kinda like him."

"Good for you," I said, "he obviously likes you too."

"Really," she asked.

"Well he did hold your hand. Plus, Danny isn't exatcly good at hiding his emotions, trust me," I said.

She gave another bashful smile and said, "Oh, cool."

We laughed the rest of the walk to our rooms. That night was the first night I actually got a good, full night sleep. I was actually happy, even after everything that had happened.

Hey guys, hope you liked it! Per the norm.: Comment, Vote, and Share! You guys rock! Luv ya!
