A lot of things had changed over the past few months before the next Dia de Muertos. One is that our families finally found their passion for music and would once again bring it back to the family. Another one is that Miguel and I managed to find Hector's body and returned it back to Santa Cecilia where he truly belonged.
Where we found him is another story in another time.
Currently, I was on my bedroom now filled with paper and scratchy art designs I threw around on the floor. Knocking came and I didn't bother to answer as Maria walked in "Dios mio! I have seen rooms littered with dirt but I have never seen a room littered with paper. What's going on Angelita" I turned from my seat and scratched my head.
Maria picked up one of the crumbled papers and began to unfold it to look inside. A grin formed in her face "Oh...I see" I blushed as Maria handed me the crumpled paper to reveal an incomplete design of a mariachi suit.
"Is this for a certain músico? Hmm... Prima?" I glared at her and lightly shoved her away as she laughed in my expense.
"Dia de los Muertos is in two days and I want to give Miguel something as a present and he never wore a mariachi suit when he and I performed in the contest"
Maria tapped her chin "You know his familia can buy him a suit. Why bother make one? Unless there is something going on"
I blushed and shook my head in denial. Maria raised a brow, all her life she knew her cousin and that Rivera boy always hang to together ever since their family met the Riveras.
But to what extent where they hanging out?
I sighed and dropped my shoulders knowing Maria was always an observant type of person and would always pester and question the victim until she was given the full truth "Alright I may have a diminuto pedacito de agolpamiento en Miguel " I mumbled out and Maria smirked.
"I knew it"
"Can you please stop asking about this and help me make this gift or I'll tell Abuelito that it was you who knocked over his favorite collection of fabrics" Maria's eyes widen.
"You wouldn't..."
"¿Que no?..."
I drawled out. I knew she knew that I would always remain true through a threat and that was proven when Antonio took my dancing dolls away.
Let's just say he had a hard time covering his now pink dyed hair which lasted for a week.
Maria sighed and glared at me "¡bien!, te ayudaré. But if he so much doesn't appreciate it, I'll give him a tongue lash" I chuckled.
"I know you will"

Dia de los Muertos has arrived and the streets are filled with skeletal banners and marigold pathways for our ancestors.
Currently, I was finished wrapping up my present to Miguel. Maria had been a big help with the stitches since most of mine were...disoriented in the sewing machine.
"Next time, try to listen to Abuelito's teachings..."
Maria said and I nodded before grabbing my gift wrapped present and headed downstairs with her behind me. I wore a red and black dance dress with a red rose necklace that was similar to the original dress I had worn during our adventure in the Land of the Dead.
