They tried long distance. It never worked, they always ended breaking up. So when Connor got accepted to join a music program for one year, they knew they needed to break up before things got worse.

They spent as much time together as possible before he had to go in order to catch his plane. But when that time came, they knew they needed to say goodbye.

Both boys were teary eyed as they said their goodbyes.

"Evan Hansen, god I love you so much. Don't forget me okay?" Connor said as he held back his tears.

"I-i'll mi-iss you s-s-o much!" "I love you" Evan was full on hysterics.

"Time to board plane 420 please!" they both heard the women over the intercom and instantly pulled each other in for one last kiss.

They exchanged goodbyes as they walked the opposite direction from each other.

Evan walked with his head down as he made his way to his car. He was about ten meters to the exit before he heard someone calling his name.

"Evan!" "Wait!"

He knew that voice from anywhere, it was his long-haired lover.

"Connor! You should be on your flight right now! You're going to miss it!" although he was confused he felt a small pang of happiness in his chest. Did this mean?

"I don't care, Evan I cant leave you! No matter how much I want to go, I cant leave you! You mean the world to me! You are my first real boyfriend, my first real best friend, and most importantly my first love!" "You are my earth, my moon, my sun and all my stars!" Connor had tears rolling down his cheeks.

"I cant and I wont leave you, ever again. That place might make me happy but you make me the most happy. And I need the sun in my life, which is you if you didn't know" he chuckled through the salty tears.

"Connor, I love you so much!" Evan ran up to him and jumped in his arms and cried into his shoulder.

"Although I do love holding you, lets go home." Connor chuckled.

"Home" Evan liked going home with Connor,  when Connor was with him, it was home.
