(QING)

When we woke up we realized we missed lunchtime. Dayu and I opted to order food. While waiting for our food to arrive, Dayu decided to call our parents.

I left him alone to have that call while I cleaned up the kitchen of the mess I did on it while trying to foolishly cook breakfast for the man I love. I frowned too and started thinking that I should do some groceries so Dayu and I will have food in this place.

A bare kitchen won't do anymore. Dayu likes to cook. I should buy some ingredients in case Dayu decided to cook for us.

After cleaning, the doorbell rang and I answered it. Our food has arrived. We ordered Greek salad, chicken cooked in lemon sauce and meringue for desert. I think Dayu has acquired a taste for healthy European dishes.

We ate together. Talked about Dayu's time in different European cities and how much he had learn while being a coordinator.

In return, I told him about my visits to doctors monitoring my health since I woke up from coma and the time I got busy with helping Kim set up our spa business.

We smiled when we realized how different our lives were during our separation but...

"I always think of you," Dayu said. "When I landed on different city airports, I always wish you were with me and we will explore the city together."

"I think of you too. After listening to each of your tapes, I want to discuss things with you. I am amazed how we saw things differently that time. You worried about my reasons for being with you while I worried about how I can make you stay with me." I said.

"We were stupid," Dayu muttered and we both laughed. I took his hand and look into his eyes. His expressive eyes. As emotions play there, I said, "But that is okay, right? That we were stupid. At least now we know, and we learned."

Dayu nodded. "That we did."

We finished our late lunch and I stored the leftovers on the fridge. I went out to the living room where I saw Dayu standing and looking up at the clock placed on the wall.

"Shall we go to the mansion together to see Maman and Baba?" I asked Dayu. "What do you want to do tonight?"

But Dayu is intent on looking at the clock. It's hands pointed out that it's already 2:36 in the afternoon.

"Dayu ah?" I stood behind him. "What is wrong?"

Dayu twist his head a little to look at me. "Don't you remember? This date, around this time, one year ago, Ato called me to say that you and Kim got into a car accident."

That made me stop. And then I remembered. Yes, today marks the first year since Kim and I got into that accident that lead to me going into coma.

It's still unbelievable that it happened. That one major accident changes everything in my life.

Dayu sighed and look at the clock again. "I came back, to make sure that it will not happen again."

Dayu is breaking my heart. I hugged him from behind. "I am here. We are here. It will not happen again." I pressed my cheek on his hair.

"Yes," Dayu nodded before touching my arm around his waist. "I just marveled about what changes a year can do to a person. A year ago, you were about to marry Kim for your political dream while I am supposed to leave to the US to escape witnessing it. But now..."

"Now, Kim and Ato are going to marry while you and I are here together. Finally back together," I let Dayu go to turn him so I can look into his face. I smiled at him. "You can still travel, but not alone. From now on, I will go with you."
