"But I still don't understand why you only square rooted the fourty nine x and not the two x. Aren't you supposed to square root them both?" I ask Evan feeling utterly confused.
He is helping, well attempting to help me study for a maths test I'm writing on Monday. We have been working on one sum for the past twenty minutes and he is getting really frustrated because I am failing to understand what on earth is going. I mean at first everything seemed easy, now he is doing things and I don't understand why he's even doing those particular things.
"We already did square it that's why we have seven here! The square root of fourty nine is seven!" He exclaims. I look at the equation again and then I see it.
"Ohh! Okay I kinda get it now. Next example I'm tired of this one and the after this one we can take a break of ten hours." I say rubbing circles on my temples. I'm so tired. We've been at this for about four hours straight. I understand everything except these stupid squaring of both sides equations. But like the end part.
"Okay fine. Let's do number eight." He says. I take a look at it and I get a headache.
"You know what, we can just take a break now and then when we come back we can start with eight." I say and he chuckles and closes the textbook.
"So what's the status update with that guy of yours?" Evan asks causing me to groan.
"He is not my guy. He is just a guy and his name is Jace, Evan." I say crossing my arms over the table.
"Yeah I know but you know I just enjoy teasing you." He says and I roll my eyes.
"Yes, it seems that you, Trish and Jace have a knack for annoying me on a daily basis." I say with a bored tone. Now it's his turn to roll his eyes.
"Haha! Anyway what's up with the two of you?" He goes on to ask. Why does everybody keep asking me that.
"We are friends and that's it."
"Really? That's all you have to say. Nothing else."
"Yup. Should there be anything else?" I ask raising an eyebrow.
"Yes! Like tell me what he did during the week. How he annoyed you or something like that. Do you seriously have nothing to say?" He says using his hands as an effect to get his point over.
"No there isn't Evan. I don't talk about him that much." I say and he scoffs.
"Yeah okay. But this is a shock that you have nothing to say about him now. You always have a mouthful to say about him." He says and I scoff.
"I do not. And he didn't annoy me this week becuase he wasn't at school." I exclaim in annoyance. Why is he questioning me so much?
"He didn't tell you?"
"No he didn't and he's not obligated to do so. So can we please just drop this!" I say fed up with the twenty one questions. Like I'm supposed to know the in's and out's of Jace Clark's life. Jeez!
"Okay I'm sorry. I'm going to make me a sandwich. Want one?" He apologises and changes the subject.
"I shouldn't have lashed out at you like that I-" I start and he interrupts me.
"It's okay sis. I understand. Sandwich?" He says genuinely. I sigh and nod. He smiles at me and then walks away.
These days I've just been lashing out at everyone. I don't know why but I always only lash out when Jace and I are the subjects of the matter. The things that are happening in my life right now are just not right and that's frustrating me.
Things are different. I don't know what to anticipate anymore.
Before; my brothers were the centres of my universe. I only had one friend and I only worried about the beatings I got from king monster and only got irritated by barbie's ignorance.
