When we all got home i saw Skye go into the kitchen while Dad went upstairs. I hung around the door for a few minutes with a pounding head and waited until the coast was clear before i bolted up the stairs and to my room. I went to my draws and pulled out some fresh clothes. Going into the bathroom i had a shower and was glad i avoided a big fight with dad, or delayed it.

After getting changed my head was clear and pain free but my stomach was growling. I started walking down the stairs just as my twin was coming up. Opening my mouth i tried to say something but couldnt think of anything to say. My hunger was forgot when i saw the sad look on Skyes face when i walked past her to kitchen.

I just grabbed a can on lemonade and went to the living room to relax. But instead i found Dad sitting on his leather recliner and staring at the blank tv screen. I tried to escape before he noticed me but no luck there. He motioned for me to have a seat. I sit on the lounge and wait for him to speak.

"Lacey...." he trails off but suddently his face turns hard. It was then i noticed his bloodshot eyes.

"You're a little skank! I have given you every f*cking thing you could ever want in life and you go and get blind drunk and arrested! You hooked up and are pregnant aren't you whore?!" he screams angrily. I get angry but choose to stay silent.

"You arent even defending yourself. You are a narrow-minded, skanky little slut who cant even spe-" I cut Dad off when i stood up and slapped him hard across the face. He glares at me and stnads up before back handing me with such a force i end up on the floor. He leaves then so i climb to my feet and go to my room.

THE NEXT DAY

I was laying on my bed, with a black cheek, when my phone makes a ding sound which signals that i have a message. I unlock my phone and open the email. Its from.... Sea-Gate Academy!

Dear Miss Lacey Dawson

We would like to inform you that you have been accepted into Sea-Gate Academy. You have also been selected for the equestian program.

I read the rest about how it starts in two weeks and stuff and couldnt help the smile that spread on my face. My door opens and i look up to see Skye stanfin rhere smiling widely. I start screaming and she starts screaming and we run around my room singing and dancing to who knows what! Somehow i end up shaking my ass at Skye before we fall onto my bed.

"Hey Skye" i say and she turns to me. "I can teust you right?" i ask her.

"Of course Lace, your my twin sister" She exclaims.

I look at her before blurting out all u could remember about the party and she listens to every word without speaking. We were laying there in our own little worlds for a while when we heard the front door open. We sit up and look at each other. The look on her face made me realise she was thinking rhe eame thing as me. Dad's home!

We jump off my bed and race downstairs and almost crashing into and tripping eachother on our mad dash to the kitchen. Me and Skye practicaly jump on dad and start ranting and rambling on about how we were going to Sea-Gate Academy in four weeks. My fight with dad and my purple face was temporarily forgotten in the excitment.
