Liam was off in Germany for a gig. They were due to be straight there and straight back it it still felt so strange not having him around after we'd been together all the time for a full week.

I thought I'd enjoy having time alone with the kids back home but the house just felt dead silent like something was wrong. I phoned my parents, my friends, my brothers, none of them were available so I rang Meg and we headed over to Supernova Heights.

She was glad to have us over because she thought the same with Noel being gone. She wanted to hear about our second honeymoon especially since she didn't get anything like that from Noel.

"So you know Manchester now?"

"Not really." I tried to play it down. "All Liam wanted to show me was his bedroom."

"I found the wrong brother. All Noel's wanted to do was wake sure everything was ready for Germany."

"He'll be waiting to treat you when he gets back, when he's not got music on his mind."

"He'll come back here with a new tune in mind or something and spend all his time locked away in that room."

"Liam's like that too sometimes..."

"But not when you just got married."

"He went up and had the second wedding for you, you know he didn't want to do that but he did it." I pointed out, taking Noel's side for once. "I bet

"I know but even that was Liam's thing. Hey, maybe he's changed his mind on the baby thing, that's why he acted so..."

"No." I shook my head. "We don't want another baby yet. He happily dumped the kids on his mum so we could be child free again, do whatever we wanted all week, we can't do that again if I get pregnant."

"Did you see a doctor about what happened?"

"No, I'm fine. I've been completely fine since that day. I don't need to waste their time."

Luckily she dropped the subject and turned her attention to the twins. She got on the floor, playing with them with the toys we brought. I noticed a newspaper and started reading it.

I saw an interesting article about Liam and some American journalist. I thought I'd heard it all already but I couldn't believe what I was reading.

"What the fuck is this?" I thought out loud.

"What?" Meg asked, confused.

She quickly read the article and tried to brush it off. "Look, it's probably just journo lies."

"He got her pregnant, she's pregnant! Look at her!" I exclaimed. "He's having a kid to some Yank and thought I'd never find out."

I jabbed my finger at her picture in the paper. She wasn't showing yet, she'd just been captured in that look at me, I'm pregnant pose. They'd reused the picture of Liam, it was one when he still had long hair last year.

"You don't know what journos are like, they'll make anything up for attention, write anything cos it sells." she pointed out. "Don't overreact."

She tried to pass it off as nothing but I wasn't listening. I'd made up my mind on the article. I just needed to hear it from Liam now.

"I've got to go." I told her, I had no idea what I was going to do but I couldn't sit around letting this go by.

"Don't go confronting him over this, not over this attention seeker's crap." She made no attempt to stop me.
