Chapter Five
"Ivy, wake up," I heard my mothers voice as she was shaking me awake.
I sat up, rubbed my eyes, then stretched to hear some of my bones popping.
"Good morning, mom," I smiled.
It was rare for my mom to wake me up. When she does though, it meant that dad and her were going for a long holiday to the other side of the country.
"Morning. We're going to Japan for a holiday. We'll see you in three months! Be good," she walked out.
Sighing, I got ready for another day of hell and walked out. I arrived in school not long after and went to my lockers, sighing as I did so.
"Hey, I'm Klara. Do you mind showing me to the office?" A girl, dressed like a nerd, asked.
"Of course! I'm Ivy, by the way," I walked her towards the office and waited for her to get her stuff.
We exchanged schedules and found out we had everything together, coincidence or what? Walking into History lesson, the first bell rang and I gestured for Klara to sit with me. The lesson went by like lightning and soon I found myself laughing with Klara during lunch.
"Do you know the model Quinn?" I asked.
She smiled happily then nodded, "yes! She's so pretty!"
"Nah!" I saw her smile falter. "She's beautiful!"
She beamed brighter than ever. We talked about everything until I felt something cold trickle down my shirt. Closing my eyes, I tried to block out all the laughing but couldn't. I opened them to see a worried Klara who was looking above me. I turned around and saw the one and only Liam-flipping-Will.
"They look the same," Klara thought out loud.
Liam's eyes grew big, followed by mine, "WHAT!?" We shouted at the same time.
So I wasn't the only one who noticed. There were a lot of murmurs around the crowd as everyone stared at us. I ran out of the cafeteria, Klara following closely behind me. I changed into new clothes, I kept inside my locker, and headed towards English class.
As I entered, the second bell went and Miss. Walker, walked in. Get it? Walker, walked? Never mind.
"Good afternoon class. Today we'll be doing a group project," she explained what to do then started making groups of three. "Klara, Ivy and Liam."
"Miss! I can't be with him!" I shouted the same time he shouted, "Miss! I can't be with her!"
We glared at each other until he felt uncomfortable and looked away. I smirked victoriously and faced the front again.
"Meet me outside the school at my car after school," he told Klara and I.
We nodded as Liam stomped out of the room, just before the end of school bell rang. Talk about good timing.
Chapter Six
Klara and I walked out of the school doors and saw the one and only Liam sucking faces with Ashley, the schools queen bee. We both awkwardly stood in front of them and I cleared my throat. Ashley turned around, a smirk plastered on her face, while her hands roamed Liam's chest. I mentally gagged and looked away to see his brothers walking here.
"Hey He-" Jacob started but got elbowed by Benjamin.
"Hey Ivy," Ian smiled.
I waved awkwardly and introduced them to Klara, "guys, this is Klara my new bestie."
"Hey Klara," Benjamin said.
We both smiled at them as we hopped into their car. We saw Ashley fake cry as Liam pushed her off him with a disgusted look on his face and jumped in. The drive was silent except for the radio playing songs and Liam humming to them. Once we reached outside a beautiful mansion, we walked inside and the smell of fresh waffles drifted into my nose.
"Mom! We're home!" Liam shouted into the house.
I heard footsteps get closer and saw a brunette lady, wearing an apron bounce into the living room, where we were seated. As she saw me, she stopped, tears in her eyes.
"Helen?" she asked.
"No, Mrs. Will. I'm Ivy," I smiled.
She gave a look to the boys and they sighed but nodded and followed her out of the living room then into the kitchen and out of sight.
