Forgot About Her

            Thomas woke up in a tent. Where am I , he thought. All he could remember was losing two people he cared for the most. He had killed his best friend, and didn't try hard enough to save the love of his life. Heck, she did everything to save him and EVERYONE WITH THE FLARE. But he couldn't reach out and take her arm? He wanted to die. He wanted to be with them. However, he knew Teresa and Newt wouldn't want that. Thomas tried his best to wake up and find the Gladers. 

            Frypan was making breakfast, and everyone was sitting on a long table. They all looked happy. Thomas forgot what it had felt like to be happy. Maybe it was when he met Newt...or when he kissed Teresa. "I've got to move on," he whispered to himself. 

            All of a sudden, Thomas was crowded in a large group of people cheering his name. He was so busy talking to himself he didn't even notice Minho and the others running up to him. "We missed you shank," said Gally. "You're girlfriend has been worried sick about you," said Minho. All of the Gladers said, "oooooooooo", and made kissing noises. Thomas chuckled and then had a huge grin on his face. TERESA WAS BACK, and maybe Newt was too, he thought. "Where is she?", Thomas said like he was a little kid in a candy shop, jumping up and down. "In your guy's house, right down there," Minho pointed. 

            This was all too good to be true, Teresa was alive AND they were sharing a house! No way. Thomas ran as fast as he could. He had forgotten what it had felt like to be a runner. It's been a long time since the maze. 

            He swung the door open, to find a girl on the couch. All Thomas could get out of his mouth was, "T...T....T...Te," and then the girl jumped up and into his arms. After hugging for a while, he looked into her brown eyes. BROWN EYES. No this can't be true, she's not my girlfriend, Thomas thought. 

            "Hey Thomas," said BRENDA. (hold on let the author just take a moment to calm down)

          "Uh, hi", Thomas mumbled. "I've missed you so much. You're my everything you know that. ", Thomas cringed. "Um, there's something i need to tell you. It's about HER. Just hear me out, I'm not lying," she continued. They sat down on the couch, and Brenda started telling Thomas what happened.

              "Back at the Scorch, me and Teresa actually got pretty close. I know you could never see it, because you were leading us everywhere and all, but we were friends. One night, we decided to stay up and talk some. She asked me if I liked you, and I said yes. Then she said stay away. I thought it was because she loved you like I did, but i was wrong.", Brenda teared up. She is a very good actor BTW *wink* *wink*  "Teresa told me about her plan. About this was all just an act. She was sent into the maze to fall in love with you, so that she could later use you to find the cure. All of those moments you two had were just to get you to love her, so it would be easier to fall into her trap. She told me that you were hers, but only for that reason. She never said it was because she loved you or anything. I'm so sorry Thomas, I tried to warn you but she threatened to hurt you and the Gladers. You don't deserve her Thomas, I'm so so sorry," Brenda sobbed. 

        Thomas just stared at her, in shock. It can't be true, no Teresa loved him. But when has Brenda ever betrayed him, it was Teresa right. He looked into her brown eyes and embraced her. 

         Brenda continued, "Thomas, I love you. Even if you don't love me back, I just want you to know how much I care about you. You don't have to listen to me, but I think it will help you. " she hugged him tighter. "Just be with me, forget about her. "
