Promises

Can't Take It Anymore

Newt felt horrible. Everywhere he went all he heard was:

 "she deserved to die"

"betrayer"

"Teresa didn't deserve Thomas" 

"Brenda is so much better"

and the one that hurt him the most, "What did she ever do FOR US."

Newt just wanted to scream at them. To tell them that she found the cure. To tell Thomas that Brenda was the lier. 

But most of all, all Newt wanted was her. She was being tortured, and he had gotten to Paradise unharmed. She was like his little sister, and all he wanted was for her to be appreciated, like she deserved. There were memorials every where on Paradise for all who had died during the Trials. 

All except one...Teresa's. 

He had made a promise to come back for her. It had been a little less than two months, and he hasn't even attempted to rescue her.

The worst part of all of this, was having to act like he hated her as well. Whenever Tommy or another Glader said something cruel about her, he just nodded his head in agreement. IT KILLED HIM INSIDE. His heart broke more and more every day. 

Newt COULDN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE. He had to tell someone. He couldn't keep it a secret any longer. Eventually, the truth would come out right? 

So Newt ran to the only person he could think of, whom at THIS time... would listen.
