Waiting For Her

       "WHAT THE BLOODY HELL TOMMY!", Newt yelled as he and Minho rushed to pick up Teresa. "Why is she here. Newt, Minho...why is the betrayer her.", Thomas said in an angered tone. "Not now you shucking idiot, SHES DYING!", said Minho. They took Teresa in their arms and took one last glance at Thomas, "we thought you loved her," said Newt. With that said, they rushed to the Med Jack, hoping not to be interrupted this time.

         Thomas stood there in shock, but still frustrated. Brenda had brainwashed him SO MUCH that he hated Teresa, and never forgave her. He believed every word that Brenda had told him that night, and told himself that Brenda was the one he loved. He didn't know that he was lying to himself. 

          "Thomas", a female voice yelled. He whipped his head around to find whom he thought was the love of his life. BRENDA. "Hey honey", he replied. Brenda looked into to Thomas's dark brown eyes and whispered, "was that really her." He pulled her in for a hug, "shhhh it ok, she won't hurt us again. Once she's awake I'll let her know that she has no right to be here. Brenda I love you, everything will be ok.", Thomas said. "I love you too, just please keep that bitch away from me", Brenda replied.

Pause for a Writers Rant:

Ok so that was NOT fun to write. Brenda stole Thomas ughhhh. I was so mad in the movie, because I thought they would let her live (unlike in the book) but then BAM. She's gone and thats it.  AND IN THE BOOK THOMAS NEVER FORGIVES TERESA AND INSTEAD KISSES BRENDA LIKE WHAT THE SHUCK. Ok, so like I don't like Brenda at all and I don't care if you like her or not, I just had to let y'all know how hard this is to write. Like I'm mentally throwing Brenda off a cliff when she says "I love you" to Thomas.

Un-pause for story to continue:

Newt and Minho slammed open the door to the Med Jack and quickly lay Teresa on a bed. "Gally help!", and immediately Gally is by her bedside. "What took you shucks so long to get her here. Her conditions seem worse than earlier.", Gally questioned. "We ran into Thomas," Minho said frustrated. "He punched her", said Newt. "Oooh I'm gonna kill that son of a-", Gally was cut off by Minho, "JUST SAVE HER GALLY!"

After what seemed like hours of treatments and injections, Gally was done. Teresa had bandages everywhere, all of her limbs were in some kind of immobilizer, and she was hooked up to many machines. 

"I don't know if and when she'll wake up. We'll just have to wait." Gally sadly expressed. Minho and Newt nodded. "Someone needs to watch her at all times, to make sure she's safe. I don't feel comfortable leaving her alone here, knowing that Thomas and Brenda want her to be punished", Newt suggested. "We'll set up a schedule, everyone who would like to volunteer can help us out. I would just like to warn you, that Teresa MIGHT not wake up. Be prepared for the worst, because from the looks of it, she was tortured every day in WCKD." Gally exclaimed. Newt took a deep breathe and stated, "I'll take the first shift. You two can go get some rest." "Actually I also want to stay for the first night," said Minho. "Yea me too," said Gally. 

So thats how it was. Gally, Newt, and Minho stayed in Teresa's room that night. The funny part was, all of the other Gladers had the same idea, including Sonya, Harriet, and Aris. By the end of the night, everyone was gathered around Teresa's bed, praying that she would wake up and live the life she deserved. 

When morning came, everyone was still there...waiting. But they had jobs to do, so they made a schedule like Gally suggested. First up was Newt. 

"I'm sorry sis. You don't deserve any of this. The pain, the guilt, the torturing...Thomas. He doesn't deserve you Teresa. If he won't listen to what we have to say, then forget about him. I know thats going to be hard for you, since you sacrificed EVERYTHING to keep him alive and well. But, maybe its for the best. I know that he was the love of your life, but if he doesn't see you the same way, then don't beat yourself up about it. Let's just hope he comes around. We'll protect you until then. We love you." Newt whispered to the sleeping beauty, hoping that she could hear him. 

People were saying stuff to her unconscious body for the past week. The schedule worked fine, and nobody had complained yet. All they wanted was Teresa to be alive and ok. Everyone was becoming impatient. It was hard to watch her lie on the bed lifeless for days and days. 

However, one early morning Frypan was watching Teresa. He was reading a cook book when he suddenly saw her arm flinch. He ran to get the others, and when they walked in she was sitting up on the bed...sobbing.
