Thomas had been lying in bed for a few hours. It had been exactly one hour since Teresa had left. He couldn't get his mind off of her. Was it because he loved her too? Thomas was even more confused then before.

Brenda had seemed to clear things up for him, but it made him seem less like himself. As soon as Teresa came back, he felt complete again, but he didn't know what he wanted.

"Hey Tommy," said Newt in a sad tone. "How are you. You took a pretty good punch to the face," he forced a smile. "I'm feeling better. Do you know where Brenda went," Thomas asked. "She ran off as soon as Blake showed up. She told him to take you and leave her alone," Newt looked down. "But Teresa came and let him have it. She told Blake that she would go with him, as long as he didn't try to hurt you," a tear rolled down Newt's cheek, just thinking about what Teresa had been through.

"What did Blake mean? When he said that Teresa had saved me multiple times, because all I remember is her using me and betraying us." Thomas questioned.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS. Teresa never used you, she loved you mate. That was just a bloody lie that your girlfriend told you. And for the record she never betrayed you either. She thought she was helping save millions, and guess what, she could've. Thomas she FOUND the cure. She shucking saved me. So don't you ever tell yourself that she used you or betrayed you," Newt stood up and walked towards the door.

"Ok, I'm sorry I'm just trying to understand. Please tell me what really happened," Thomas begged.

Newt sighed. "Fine but you don't get to make ANY comments." He sat back down and Thomas began to listen. "She wanted to save her mom.......she found the cure.......she saved me........she sacrificed herself for you.......you have the cure.......she was tortured physically and mentally......she came back......saw you with Brenda........still hasn't forgiven herself......tried to save you again......Teresa loves you Thomas."

a/n: sorry i didn't feel like writing out everything that Newt said, sooooo

Thomas had tears in his eyes. How could he have been so ignorant and so stupid. Teresa was his savior and the love of his life, but he made her feel like a piece of klunk. AND AFTER ALL HE HAD DONE TO HER, Teresa still loved him?

"Earth to Tommy, you ok?" Newt asked. "Yea, um, where is she now?" Thomas asked. "Probably with the other Gladers, want me to go find her?" Newt asked. "No, I'll just meet you at the campfire tonight, Teresa will be there, right?", Thomas had to make sure. "Yes lover boy, now rest up, tonight is gonna be one to remember. " Newt left the room.

Thomas lay his head back down and looked out the window. She saw her raven black hair blowing in the wind, her ocean blue eyes shining like no other, and her pearly white skin glowing in the sun.

why would I let her go, Thomas thought.
