Don't Apologize

Chapter 23 - Guilt

Dash Knight was peacefully resting in his room before he heard knocking. He stood up and soon responded, ''Enter''. Lunar Knight entered his room and threw few looks around. ''Nice'' He spoke with longer 'i'. ''Anything important?'' Dash Knight asked with his hands on his hips. ''Yes, thanks to Extreme Knight, one of the dangerous beasts escaped the dungeons and made some ruckus around the Desert City'' Lunar Knight spoke firmly. Dash Knight knew what he meant by that. The only way to prevent these things were to kill Extreme Knight.

''I-'' Dash Knight started, but he was interrupted by Lunar Knight voice. ''It is the only way, make this decision and everything will be okay''. ''Meet me in Desert City underground hall'' Dash Knight spoke and stared as Lunar Knight left. Lunar Knight was right, he needed to do that.

He shook his head slightly and walked out of his room. He locked the door behind him and walked down the hallway. He sighed nervously and then stopped. ''Damn'' He muttered, walking back to his room. He unlocked the door and walked inside annoyed. He grabbed a huge purple sword that had some carved decors in the blade. He walked out of his room and walked through the calm hallway.

He made it to the exit of the castle and then flew away to the Desert City.

Few minutes later he made it to the wanted spot, he saw Lunara with sharp look, Lunar Knight with a smirk and his brothers. Lunar Knight was holding Extreme Knight who was on his knees, blinded by the sun he didn't see for months. Lunara frowned and walked to Dash Knight, slamming his face so hard that he fell to the ground. ''Listen to me GOD! You will regret the moment you were created!'' She snapped at him and flew away. ''Lunara!'' Lunar Knight shouted after her, but she was gone. Dash Knight rubbed his cheek and stood up. ''So, finally you decided to kill me'' Extreme Knight muttered with a slight chuckle. Luanr Knight frowned and lifted him up.

''Shut up'' Lunar Knight spoke harshly and gripped him harder. ''You first'' Extreme Knight spoke, ignoring what will happen to him. Lunar Knight frowned, but said nothing as Dash Knight shot him a glance.

He took his sword out and pointed it to Extreme Knight. ''You caused so much trouble'' Lunar Knight whispered to him and then dropped him on the ground. Dash Knight sighed nervously, not knowing was it right what he was doing. He lifted his sword above the Knight's chest and inhaled. Ultimate Knight looked at it with horror drew on his face.

Suddenly, Dash Knight remembered Pandora's death.

She was on the ground, a dark warrior above her, pointing the sword to her chest. She pushed him away to save his life and she died, because she loved him. How could he kill him? There is someone in the world he didn't give this information for, someone Extreme Knight cared about, someone who loved him, his only friend.

He couldn't do it. He was wrong all the time.

''I can't do this, bring him back to the dungeons'' Dash Knight said and threw the sword away, turning around. ''Dash Knight'' Lunar Knight started calmly. ''I SAID BRING HIM BACK TO THE DUNGEONS!'' The god roared angrily and flew away. Lunar Knight sighed and grabbed Extreme Knight by his forearm. He pulled him along and led him to the dungeon entrance. He walked inside and gone through the dark stony hallway. Extreme Knight's expression read surprise, confusion and much more. He didn't have any word to mouth about what happened.

He was snapped from his thoughts as Lunar Knight threw him in his cell. ''If he doesn't kill you, I will make sure I do it myself!'' The Knight growled and Extreme Knight raised his eyebrow, ''Well, we might exchange if you do that''. Lunar Knight hissed angrily before leaving, he thought about his words.

In the Silver City cafe

Dash Knight sat down quietly and looked at the femme that came. ''Your usual sir?'' She asked and he nodded, anxious to speak. The femme walked away, leaving the god on his own. Dash Knight lifted his gaze and saw Lunar Knight. ''What do you want now?'' Dash Knight asked annoyed. ''I want to talk about that'' Lunar Knight spoke and seated his self. ''There's nothing to talk about, I just couldn't kill him'' Dash Knight spoke and sighed, looking away. ''There is something to talk about, why couldn't you kill him?'' Dash Knight was enough of the questions, yet he had to answer them

''Because I felt guilt, I didn't tell you before, I was trying to convince myself it was the right thing I am doing, but it wasn't'' Dash Knight spoke and frowned slightly. ''But it is right Dash Knight, you don't understand, our planet is dying, and if he gave us the wanted artifact, we could stop that'' Lunar Knight protested. ''No Lunar Knight, it will never be right and never was'' Dash Knight spoke and then saw the femme come back. ''Here you go sir'' She said and gave him the champagne he ordered. He nodded in thanks and sipped it lightly.

''Dash Knight, with all due respect, you are so naive'' Lunar Knight said and sighed. Dash Knight looked at him with a sharp glance. ''You were the one who didn't understand that the person he didn't want to give up was his only friend!'' Dash Knight roared angrily and Lunar Knight flinched slightly. ''Tell me, would you ever give up on Ultimate Knight! Because he is your  only friend after what beast you are!'' Dash Knight said and Lunar Knight frowned, thinking of his words.  ''You don't understand! Risking all the planet and it's people just for one slave!'' Lunar Knight argued, ignoring Dash Knight's words.

''He is not just a slave! Why do you think I saved his life from fire and brought him here! Because I didn't want him to die!'' Dash Knight shouted. ''Then it is your choice, I will do what I have to'' Lunar Knight said, whispering the last words before walking away.
