Chapter 13 - Ground Cave

Dash Knight was currently in his room, in the castle. He inhaled calmly and leaned back on the chair. He heard knocking and responded tiredly, ''Come in''. Hyper Knight entered his room quietly. ''I am sorry if I am dist-'' Hyper Knight started, but he was cut off by Dash Knight. ''You are not, what do you need?''. Dash Knight was tired, not feeling for a talk or anything. ''I just need to tell you, the back walls of Desert City have been crashed, by something big'' He informed and looked around the tidy room. ''I'll be there in a minute'' Dash Knight said and Hyper Knight nodded, walking out of his room.

He shook his head tiredly and stood up. He walked out of his room and locked the door behind. He walked out of the hallway and found self in the wide hall. In front of him were big wooden doors. He walked to the door and pushed them to open. He exited the castle and then flew away. He reached Desert City in less then a minute. He landed and rolled through the sand few times. He brushed it off himself and then saw Desert Knight. ''Back there, if that's what you need'' The Knight spoke and Dash Knight nodded.

He walked through tiny place and then saw crashed stone walls. It must've been something really big. He saw a lot of Knights working on repairs. ''When did it happen?'' Dash Knight asked and drew their attention. Hyper Knight came in front of him. ''We are not sure, but it was before morning'' He spoke and looked at the broken walls with his hands on his hips. ''There are some tracks, but we are not sure what it is'' Hyper Knight said and jumped over the wall's ruins. Dash Knight followed his closely and saw the track in the sand. Like something was crawling, without legs.

''What did the sensors say?'' The god asked and groaned as he felt something stinging through his body. ''Nothing much'' Hyper Knight said and took the sensor from a wall's stone. He tapped it few times and opened some scans. ''It is some kind of a snake'' Hyper Knight said and traced his finger across the sensor's screen, magnifying the picture of the beast. ''Try following the track'' Dash Knight suggested and Hyper Knight nodded. He started following the path of the crawling or anything else. 

A half an hour after following they got to a ground cave. ''Do we enter?'' Hyper Knight asked. ''After you'' Dash Knight spoke and Hyper Knight frowned. He slid down he hole and then landed. ''All safe in here!'' He shouted and Dash Knight slid down in kneeling pose. He stood up and looked around. He cave was very hod and was made of dry dirt walls. As two of them got in deeper it was getting darker. A small light was turned on. Hyper Knight's hand glowed as he held it relaxingly extended in front of him.

The two of them suddenly heard a screeching noise. ''What was that?'' Hyper Knight asked and spun around quickly. ''Lets move on and we might find out'' Dash Knight suggested, biting his lip nervously.  Hyper Knight nodded and continued walking. He suddenly fell somewhere. ''Hyper Knight!'' Dash Knight shouted and saw where the light was. The god heard a scream, in pain probably. ''Hyper Knight are you alright?'' The god asked, getting no respond. He carefully walked forward as his vision was getting better. He saw the abyss where Hyper Knight fell. He carefully walked to it and started getting down.

It took him few nice minutes to get down. He looked around and saw a torch. He snapped his fingers few time and then lit it up. He could see everything now. There walls of the cave were made of sandy colored stone. It was warm inside. In front of him was a big puddle, it was mid shallow and wide. He saw Hyper Knight's body. He quickly ran over and kneeled next to him. There was a puddle of blood around him.Dash Knight bit his lip nervously and slowly lifted him, he was passed out. He dragged him out of the water which his torso was half in.

He placed his body on his knee and tried to see what he can do. He carefully dropped him on the ground and turned him back-up. He saw a lot of blood on his flank. He frowned and placed his hand on the wound place. He left him on the ground and walked to the lake. He gestured his hand and drew some water from the lake. It followed him and then he poured it on his wound.

''Ah damn'' The god muttered and dragged him closer to the warm walls. He ripped the piece of stone out. It was really hot. He inhaled sharply an slowly placed the stone on his wound, it smoked and was slowly healing. The Knight woke up. He groaned and first thing he did is turn to his side. ''What happened?'' He asked and looked at his wound. ''You fell and got cut on a sharp stone, you are fine now'' Dash Knight explained and stood up. He extended his hand and Hyper Knight grabbed it gently and stood up. Dash Knight brushed the dust off the Knight's body and then looked at the lake. Hyper Knight grabbed the torch and started moving.

Dash Knight followed him as they passed the lake. They heard the noise again, this time it was closer. ''Are we approaching something or is something approaching us?'' Hyper Knight asked and looked around him. ''I believe the second one'' Dash Knight noted and continued moving a bit faster. The noise was heard more often and was getting louder every minute. Them two stopped. They stayed calm next to the warm wall and tried hearing more of the noise.

Hyper Knight groaned as he accidentally pressed his wound. ''We should move'' He said and Dash Knight grabbed his arm, pulling him down. ''Not until you don't rest'' He warned and Hyper Knight shook his head, knowing it wasn't worth arguing with him. He leaned on the wall and closed his eyes.
