Chapter 18 - Past

Dash Knight was in his room, thinking about Lunar Knight's words. He shook his head and rested it on his hand. He raised his head and looked at one old picture. It was a picture of a femme. She had marine blue body that was semi-smooth built, she had thin blue eyes and mid thin purple lips. She had a curved horn on each of her front part temple to the back one. Dash Knight smiled sadly and traced the picture with his fingers. He took the picture and placed it on the table in front of him. Pandora was her name, but she died.

~Flashback~

Pandora was the only girl Dash Knight ever loved. He would everyday wait for her and bring her what she wanted, she was like him, sly, smart, strong, and intelligent. That's how their love grew quickly. It was all good before the day she was killed.

Dash Knight looked over to the battle field with Knights and the Dark Army. He frowned and then turned around from the cliff. He caught pace and jumped off. He landed on someones head and killed them on a place. He raised his eye brow and then killed few of them. ''No!'' He turned around and heard someone's scream. His eyes went wide as he looked at one warrior of the Dark Army holding Pandora. He quickly killed those on his way and ran to her. ''Dash Knight!'' She yelled in feared tone. He kicked the warrior and stabbed his arm. The warrior quickly healed and roared, pushing the god away. He took a black sword and lifted it in direction of Pandora. Dash Knight slid under the sword and grabbed the blade with his hands. He felt the blood dripping as it was approaching his chest. ''Let it go Dash Knight, you have to, they need you'' Pandora spoke and the god frowned angrily. He was suddenly pushed aside. He heard Pandora's scream. The warrior laughed maliciously and flew away.

''Pandora!'' Dash Knight shouted and ran to the femme, she was motionless and covered in blood. ''Dash Knight'' She whispered weakly. ''You can't leave please, you are everything I have'' He spoke and held her hand. She coughed blood and smiled at him. He smiled sadly and then reached his hand out to her. ''I am sorry I forgot to give it to you today'' He spoke quietly and gave her a dried red sea coral. She inhaled the aroma of the sea and then coughed. ''Thanks Dash Knight, I love you'' She said and pulled him in a kiss. He held her back and curved his lips as the kiss continued. Pandora pulled away and smiled. He looked at her eyes that were turning dim. ''Please, Pandora, don't leave'' Dash Knight pleaded sadly, but it wouldn't work. She was gone, dead. He hugged her tightly and then pulled away as her body turned in the glistening powder that was raised to the sky along with the coral she wanted.

Dash Knight stood up and looked at the ground sadly. He never told anyone about her and will not.

After that happened to him he changed, he never smiled again unless he was forced to by something. He had to keep it away. He wasn't so cruel before her death, but he had to change to keep it away.

''Dash Knight you def!'' He was jerked out of his thoughts as he heard someone. It drew him angry. He quickly stood up and walked to his door in few strides. He slammed them open and there he saw Astro Knight. He grabbed his neck and pinned him to the wall. ''I. Am. Not. Def.'' He said through gritted teeth. ''I noticed'' Astro Knight shrieked and then Dash Knight dropped him. The young god coughed and ran off through the hallway. Dash Knight groaned as he suddenly fell to his knees. He coughed something, blood. He frowned at it and stood up, walking away.

He saw Hyper Knight in the wide hall. ''What are you doing in the castle?'' The god asked in harsh tone as he wiped the blood from his hand. ''I was looking for you'' Hyper Knight said shortly and stood aside. ''Why?'' The god extended the speech. ''Well, I just wanted to make sure you are okay'' Hyper Knight spoke and Dash Knight nodded. ''I am fine''. Hyper Knight shook his head as the god exited the castle.

He inhaled the fresh air and looked at the rising sun. It was cold outside, but he liked it.

He felt the cold breeze in his face. He walked down the stony stairs and looked around himself. He still thought of the hard past.

He thought about something she said once to him.

It's not the future you are afraid of. It's fear of the past repeating itself that haunts you.

He shook his head and then reached the bottom of the slope. He walked on the fluffy clouds and then reached it to the transporter cloud. ''To the Desert City river'' He spoke coldly and stepped on it. It started to fly quickly and then it reached the wanted place, though it was in air, high. ''You need to pay'' The cloud spoke and Dash Knight frowned. He took his flame sword and stabbed the cloud, destroying it. He landed in the river and quickly got out as the muddy sand covered his body. ''F*ck'' He muttered under his breath and washed his self in the cleaner part of the river.

''You in a bad mood today, hm?'' He turned around and saw Ultimate Knight standing with his hands folded to his chest. ''It would be very better if you were not around'' Dash Knight spoke and shot him a glance. Ultimate shook his head and sighed slowly. ''Whatever you say brother'' Ultimate muttered in annoyance and walked away.

Dash Knight walked to the library and saw Lunar Knight inside. ''What are you doing here?'' Dash Knight questioned him. Lunar Knight coughed and blew the dust off the books. ''Well, what do I look like I am doing, I'm a librarian'' Lunar Knight spoke and took a pile of books. ''Whatever'' Dash Knight muttered and flew away.
