As fast as my numb body was able to carry me, I ran out of the crashed spaceship and into the dim light of the sunset. I slowed a little in need for air. But as soon as I got a breath, I continued my pace to the front gate. I saw them coming.
Octavia was on the back of her horse and the rover shortly behind. There he must be inside. "Bellamy!" I shouted deeply. "Bellamy!" Again a frighten scream escaped my mouth. "Nooo!" Tears started to stream down my face, but I didn't even feel them. Numbness was overwhelming me. And darkness became my new best friend. Kane and my mother came to my side and she laid a hand on my back, rubbing it consoling.
It felt like hours that we were waiting for the rover to reach the gate. But after he did I ran to the back doors of it and opened them. I climbed in the fastest way possible for me. Monty and Bellamy were laying on the ground of the rover. They couldn't even sit anymore. I climbed next to Bellamy and touched his face carefully. "Hey, Princess", he said with a light smirk. Even after he almost died he could smirk like only a Blake could do. I laughed mat. Cold sweat was glistening on his forehead as the sun did on the water today.
I Looked down to the wound on the left side of his stomach. "Mom, he needs a bandage and pain meds. Now." My voice was not the one of a woman who couldn't barely breathe because of the almost death of her loved one, it was the one of a doctor. "Get him out of here and into med bay", she commanded. They did as she said and after an hour of stitches and bandages Monty and Bellamy were finally sleeping.
My mom took Harper and me to the side to tell us about their medical records. "So Harper, Monty hast serious issues on his right hand and shoulder. He will need much time to fully recover, but he will." Harper said goodbye relieved and went back to Monty.
"What's with Bellamy?" I said impatient. My mom turned to me and put on a serious face. "With him it won't be that easy. His organs are badly damaged. He will need a couple of operations to fix this mess." She paused to give me time to work through her words. "Tomorrow, when he is a little bit stronger, we will start the fixing." I nodded and touched my belly, thinking 'So we will have to keep out eyes on your daddy more'.
After I talked to my mother, I went back to Bellamy and sat next to him until the sun started to rise.
