Third Person P.O.V

Youngjae watched as Mark stumbled through the door, in the middle of the night, covered in blood. Again. He was still panting from whatever activity he was doing, Youngjae didn't even want to imagine. He understood why people called him Prince Blood.

"Prince Mark, you should go clean up. I'll have some tea out for you when you're done." Youngjae suggested. Mark gave him a short glance of acknowledgement and left, but Youngjae was content with that.

If it was anyone else, they would've been ignored, and as Mark's only friend, he stayed loyal and helpful to Mark whenever he got himself into trouble.

How did he even manage to befriend this cold and heartless creature you may ask? Well, he deserves at least this much for what he's done for Mark.

Flashback (more angsty stories brought to you by Jaebum's mullet that's probably been chopped off by now)

Mark, 100 (kinda like a 4 year old child)
Youngjae, 350 (kinda like a 10 year old)

Youngjae P.O.V

"We gotta get rid of him!"

"But he's still a Prince after all."

"He will cause so much trouble in the future."

"But what if he's the one?"

"Who cares? So many lives will be lost just because of him! What two worlds are going to unite because of him? I call that bullshit."

"Watch your profanity."

These voices in my head... they get annoying sometimes. I mean, I get that this is a gift of some sort, but it's pretty useless.

They said they were going to get rid of a Prince though? Who? Our kingdom has two princes and one princess. Who could it be?

They were both so young, why would anyone be thinking of getting rid of them? The eldest prince, Prince Mark just had his 100 years birthday. The second prince, Prince Taehyung, is around 69 years old. (iM SoRRy)

But if they were to get rid of one of the princes, they would probably strike the Thunderbolts, which would turn any young vampire the princes' age completely into human and send any older vampire to earth and as a human who's forgotten all about their vampire self for punishment. Not that it was ever needed, because all vampires behaved according to the rules, and if they broke a rule, it wasn't so severe that they would use this punishment.

I must protect the prince, whoever it may be. Maybe that's what my powers were meant for. Protecting my princes.

~A few days later~

I learnt that the one they were talking about was Prince Mark. I feel the need to protect him. Luckily, I live in the palace, I can easily follow Prince Mark and protect him.

"We'll strike the lightning today."

"Isn't it too early? The prince is still young."

"We have to get rid of him as soon as possible. Prepare what we need for the strikes."

So it's today... I better stay in the palace and once it starts raining, I'd have to find Prince Mark.

Once the evening came along, it started thunder storming. The first bolt strikes as Prince Mark walked outside the doors of the palace.

They take a few tries to hit the target, and I'm pretty sure Prince Mark was oblivious to the whole situation.

I watched as bolt after bolt of lightning came down, way too close to Prince Mark for my liking. They were tinted a light purple, unlike regular lightning.

Suddenly, my eyes flashed red. I can sense it. This one will strike him.

Third Person P.O.V

Youngjae ran with his Vampire speed, right behind Mark, as the bolt that was meant to hit Mark strikes down on him.

Youngjae quickly became unconscious. Since the bolt was not meant for him, it never turned him into a human, but only gave him the pain.

Mark felt a gentle nudge behind him, and as he turned around, he found an unconscious boy, who he later on learnt, saved him from suffering in the human world, where he never belonged.

"I guess Prince Mark was never meant to be rid of. We'll see how fate decides his future."

"Choi Youngjae, you have interrupted a trial and there for, you are punished by having your special gift taken away, also you ability of hiding your identity of a Vampire."

Flashback Ends

Youngjae really did sacrifice a lot for Mark, and he always stayed loyal. He couldn't change his eye colour and it will always remain a bloody red.

Youngjae sees Mark coming out of his bedroom door, and handed him the tea. He sat down on a chair and brought the cup up to his mouth.

"My Prince, may I ask why you are always like this? All those people and animals you killed are living beings as well." He questioned him, being as polite as possible, making sure he doesn't anger the easily irritated Prince.

Mark paused his motion and brought the cup away from his lips. "Don't question my behaviours Youngjae. I like what I do, and I do what I like. It's as simple as that."

Youngjae slightly bowed and lifted his head to say, "Alright my prince, since it's late already, I will go now. Good night." Mark gave a quick nod as Youngjae backed out the room.

Mark sighed. He never really understood why he had desires to kill and destroy, or to be cold towards everyone, but those were things he never wanted to think about.

Even to his parents, and his own family, he was as cold as a stone. (Cold Stone lol) Sometimes his parents wondered how they ever bore a child like that, but still saw him as their son.

Mark lives in his own castle, with not many servants and other vampires. He likes the peace and quiet, he likes to be alone.

He finishes his tea and walked back into his spacious room. He needed rest, for his brain, and not for his body. Vampires don't need to sleep, but their minds need rest.
