•FOURTY THREE•

Third Person P.O.V

"Markie?" A tired Jackson asked as he lifted his head from where he previously was: on top of Mark's chest. Mark stirred gently, and slowly opened his eyes. Jackson held his breath was seriously about to have a heart attack.

Mark let his eyes wander around the room, adjusting to his surroundings, before letting his gaze land on Jackson. He smiled and lifted his hand to stroke his fingers through Jackson's messy flop of brown hair. "Jackson..." Mark got lost in his lover's beautiful brown eyes, and wondered how long it has been since he last saw them.

"H-hyung... you woke up!" Jackson snapped out of his dazed state and immediately hugged the Prince. He couldn't help the tears trickling down his cheeks, and sobbed into the crook of Mark's neck.

"Of course I did baby," Mark chuckled and rubbed his hand across Jackson's back soothingly, "I'm sorry for leaving you alone for so long." he gently kissed the younger's nape. Jackson slowly stopped crying and reduced it to occasional sniffles as he shook his head. He pulled away and looked at Mark.

"It's okay hyung, it's been a month. As long as you're here now, I'm fine with it." He said and Mark suddenly frowned. "Look at you, you got so much skinnier. Too skinny. You've been missing your meals huh?" Mark accused, and Jackson being guilty, looked down.

"It's not healthy. I can literally see your bones." Mark said as he brushed his fingers on the younger's cheeks. "I can say the same for you hyung." Jackson reasoned, as Mark hasn't had a proper meal in forever as well.

"Fine. I say... How about we both go out and eat a ton of food?" Mark suggested and Jackson's eyes instantly lit up. he pecked Mark on the lips. "I love you hyung."

"I love you too."

Jackson P.O.V

"Mark, Jackson, did you know that humans can now pass the gate to our world without a vampire? A blue portal appeared at Han River." Youngjae said to us after we got back from our "little" meal. My eyes widened. "Really? How did they react to us vampires?" Mark asked.

"Pretty well actually. A few hours ago, a really bright flash of blue light shone through the world, it was like the same colour as the portal. And then all these weird things started happening." He explained. "We've also gotten reports that vampires don't feel bloodthirsty anymore, and are generally peaceful towards humans, with a few exceptions, your father being one." Mark growled.

"That king needs to leave his throne as soon as possible." Mark cursed his father. We all know that most of the time, vampire kings only give their heir the throne when they die, unless they really only want a peaceful life. But with someone controlling like Mark's father, he probably won't be happy giving up his throne on his deathbed.

"Hey... He's still your father. You shouldn't talk about him like that." I argued. As much as I didn't like Mark's father, he was still someone Mark should respect. Maybe not his doings but just as a father figure.

"I do not have a father who cannot even fucking accept my perfect, loving mate. He's nothing but an obstacle to me now." Mark said with hate in his voice and his eyes hinting red. I sighed. "Alright my prince, calm down." Youngjae said and Mark snapped out of his hatred filled state.

"Jae I told you to not-"

"Whatever hyung I don't even know how to address you anymore."

The King P.O.V (A/N did you see that coming?)

I've been secretly observing this son of mine for a while. I don't care what it takes, that filthy human being is a disgrace, and a weakness to my heir. I will get him no matter what. He will not survive my hands.

Third Person P.O.V

"Hyung... can I go visit my family and friends?" Jackson asked Mark. "Alright. Youngj-" Jackson stopped Mark. "No no I'm fine going by myself. I can freely travel anyway right? I don't want to bother him every time I wanted to go somewhere either." Jackson said, trying to convince his boyfriend who was worried of him.

"I'll be fine Markie... Pleaaaaase?"Jackson gave him puppy eyes, and tried to convince him. Mark just sighed and nodded in defeat. "Fine fine. Be careful alright?" Jackson jumped up and cheered.

"Yay! Love you hyung. See ya!"

As soon as he walked into the forest by the castle, he felt a strong hit at his head, and slowly, he became dizzy and his vision faded away.

Sorry I haven't updated in a bit. Got a little busy with school. Anyway, this book is almost over... kinda sad...

By the way, if you guys have some interesting story ideas, or plots, or just a simple thought on something that could be turned into a story, maybe you could suggest smth for me? I know I literally have three more books to write before I start any other new ideas but still...

Mine is currently hann and latata... I think. I literally loved hann the second I heard it, which was like the day the mv released so yeh...
