Third Person P.O.V

All Jackson's been doing was staring.

He sat by Mark, and stared at his lifeless body, hoping he would wake up, or at least have some sort of reaction.

He would talk to him occasionally, when he was in a relatively good mood. Jackson was never happy these days.

It's been a month since Mark was brought back to his castle, and Jackson barely had his meals, until Youngjae forces him to eat every now and then. "Mark hyung wouldn't like it if you starved yourself Jackson." Youngjae would say.

And with that sentence he would get Jackson to eat a little. It was progress.

"Mark hyung..." Jackson spoke up. He hasn't talked to Mark in a while. He wondered if the prince could even hear him. "You're birthday's tomorrow." He continued.

"Wouldn't it be nice if you woke up just in time to celebrate your birthday?" Jackson chuckled slightly as he wiped a tear that slipped down his cheek.

"Have you ever celebrated your birthday?" He asked and propped his chin on his palm. "Must've been lonely all those years hm?"

It was close to midnight. Jackson directed his gaze to the clock that was always on Mark's nightstand.

11:59pm

And he stared at it until it turned 12.

"Happy Birthday hyung." Jackson grabbed Mark's ice cold hands. "I don't know how old you're turning, but you're getting old." Jackson joked and smiled a teary smile.

Suddenly, Mark's fingers start to twitch slightly. It was a slight movement but it was the only movement he's made since he fell into the coma.

"Hyung?" Jackson said, trying not to get his hopes up for his boyfriend to wake up.

The right side of Mark's lower waist started glowing. Jackson lifted Mark's shirt slightly with a shaky hand. He found Mark's tattoo glowing a dark sapphire blue, and a golden glow surrounding it.

Jackson reached out to touch it, and felt a surge of energy run through him. He looked down at the left side of his waist. There was a little golden glowing patch shining through the hoodie.

Jackson lifted his shirt up to find the glow on an empty spot.

Suddenly, his eyelids felt heavy, and despite his efforts of trying to stay awake, he slowly fell unconscious with his head resting on top of Mark's chest.

~little time skip~

Jackson opened his eyes and looked around. He "woke up" in a beautiful place. He looked at his arms and they looked half transparent. He assumed that it was probably his spirit that wondered out of his body. Youngjae told him about spirits possibly leaving bodies before.

There were countless stars up in the sky, which was also, a dark sapphire blue, matching the glow of Mark's tattoo. Underneath was a light aquamarine blue. It resembled a clear ocean, but it wasn't quite that.

Those two colours merged together perfectly, and you almost couldn't tell where the blue starts to change.

Jackson was floating in mid air. He looked behind him to see wings. They were white and resembled a bird's, but it was also half transparent, just like his body.

He looked ahead, and saw a figure. He immediately flew towards the figure as he recognized it to be Mark.

Mark looked... different, you could say. He had bat like wings, and they were huge. They weren't transparent but Mark's body was. His hair was red. His eyes were still closed.

Jackson enveloped him into a tight hug, and somewhere at the back of his mind, he thought that Mark's look was quite familiar, but didn't think much about why.

A warm glow of gold and different shades of blue started surrounding the two, and it separated them slightly and lifted them up. Jackson closed his eyes, just like the warmth was urging him to.

A sapphire gem shaped in half of a sphere that looked like it was broken from it's other half came out of Mark's chest. An aquamarine shaped just the same as the sapphire left Jackson's chest.

They completed each other, and joined in the middle, on top of both their heads. The two gems that Mark and Jackson were born with merged together into a ball of energy, that released a bright flash that seemed to go even outside of the unreal space they were in.

Little did they know, that glow had the power to purify the vampire world. Vampires no longer needed blood to survive. Humans somehow became aware of the existence of vampires.

It was like the two worlds turned into one. All in a split second.

The glowing ceased, and Jackson and Mark's spirits fell into nothingness before returning back into their bodies.
