Jackson P.O.V

Mark said that the Queen wanted to meet us today. Though he hated the idea of me potentially meeting the King, he would love it for me to meet the Queen, as well as his siblings. I agreed; it would be an understatement to say that I was slightly nervous about what they would think about me.

I was terrified of disappointing his family, but hyung's words stuck in my head. I have to trust myself and trust him. He needs me, and I will never leave him, no matter what.

"Let's go." Mark said, and held my hand, sensing my nervousness. I nodded. "Let's go."

It took a few seconds to get to Castle Erebus. Upon entering, all the guards bowed down on one knee to Mark. He acknowledged them and pulled me forwards, going further into the castle. By now I was pretty much shaking.

I took my mind off things by looking around. This place was huge. A few times bigger than Mark's castle. There were grand, white staircases lined with red carpets, golden decoration everywhere, and giant chandeliers made out of what seemed to be some sort of precious gem.

The windows had intricate designs and the blinds were black and red, with lace like patterns on them. The ceiling of this first floor in the first room was about 5 stories high. There was a huge statue in the middle, made out of some sort of black stone. It was of a vampire who had his wings out, which was twice as big as his body and resembled a bat's. There wasn't a face on the statue, it was as if the vampire they made a sculpture out of hasn't showed up yet, and they were waiting for it.

"Is there a story behind the statue?" I asked Mark as we took our time crossing the large entrance room of the palace. "Well, yes." He said. "There's a story in the vampire world. They said that one day, a vampire who was meant to be the ruler will appear. He will be the only vampire to ever have wings, two powers, and two elements. He can rule for eternity with his mate, as he will become immortal if he ever takes that form. This vampire can bring either ever lasting peace or great danger. If he has met the right people in his life, the destruction he causes would be minimal. If he hasn't, he is capable of destroying both the worlds." He said, and then pointed at the statue.

"That is meant to be his... Angered form." He concluded. "Why would they put an angered form of that vampire in the middle of the palace?" I asked. He shrugs. "Beats me."

Before I knew it, we were in front of a set of double doors. I think we were on the third floor. "This is my mother's... Place. I wouldn't really call it an office." He said a proceeded to knock on the door. "Come in." a gentle voice said.

He pushed the door open, and it revealed a rather cozy, comforting room, compared to the rest of the palace. The walls were a soft purple, and the lighting was warm. There were a few couches and a desk, as well as some other things.

There was a woman in a beautiful black and red gown sitting on one of the couches. She looked up at us and smiled. "Good morning mother." Mark said. I didn't really know how to greet her so I bowed. "Good morning to you too my sons. No need to be so formal, you may stand straight." She said to me and came over to guide my shoulders up. "You can call me mother, just like Mark, alright?" I nodded. "Yes mother."

Mark smiled. "So mom, what do you think of my boyfriend?" He asked and I blushed, and fought the urge to smack him on the arm. "Hmmm... Handsome boy, polite... Well, I see everything you'd need in a mate Mark." she said and continued, "I also have to thank him for changing you, or else we would've never had a conversation like this in a million years."

Mark nodded. "True." and he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer, "Gotta take credit for that don't you?" He said, staring into my eyes and bit his lips. I avoided his gaze instead. Seriously though? In front of his mom who just hAppens to be the Queen?
