32. New teacher

Bonnie P.O.V
I walked down the streets of my hometown, thinking about random things.
I had my earphones in and my music was blasting out Marceline's songs.
I also had my head down as I arrived at my college.
It felt like I went into a brick wall as I stumbled over and fell onto the ground.
One of my earphones fell out as I looked up and saw a Ash look a like.
I felt sick as he looked down at me, his glasses fell slightly as he put his hand out.
I grab it quickly and then stood in front of him.
"I'm sorry that I walk into you but I need to go" I say quickly and try to find the best exit I could to get away.
Before he could say anything I ran as fast as I could into the college.

I just walk into my last lesson of the day which was Biology and sat at the back of the class.
My stomach dropped as I saw the same guy from earlier walk in and sit at the teachers desk.
"Hello class, I'm going to be your new teacher for the next couple of weeks until Mr Harris gets out of hospital" He says and glances at me.
Some people talk quietly to themselves and I put my hand up quickly.
"What's wrong miss" He asks me.
"Can I go to the toilet please" I ask.
"Sure but first can I talk to you outside" He says to me.
I quickly nod my head and grab my bag.
He waits for me outside and as I walk out the door he shuts it behind me.
I stay as far away as I can from him.
"I know who you are Bonnie, I know what Ash done to both you and Marceline but I want you to know that if I'm here you're going to be safe" He says.
"What do you mean I'm safe now" I say confused.
"Ash is going to be coming out of prison in a few months so I took this job just in case he comes near you or tries to kill you or Marceline.
If you were also wondering Ash is my brother and also my name is Pete" he says.
I just stay silent after he spoke, I fold my arms around myself in deep thought.
"Nice ring you got there" he says and grabs ahold of my hand and studies the ring.
"Marcy asked me to marry her" I say and pull my hand away from him.
"I hope you two have a nice life together and I will try to do everything i can to keep my brother away" he says pushing up his glasses.
"Thank you" I say quietly.
"I know you wanted to leave the class so I will let you go for this one time" he says with a slight smile.
I only nod my head and turn to walk away from him.
"What a quiet girl" I hear Pete say under his breath.
I smile a little knowning that was in fact wrong and I opened the door to the college and left.

Once I got home, I rang Marcy and told her everything that went down.
"Bonnie I don't trust this Pete, he could be just like Ash" Marceline says worried.
"I don't think he is but if he does turn out like Ash I'm going to have Finn around me anyway" I say to her.
"Fine but if anything else happens I want you to tell me straight away" Marceline says.
"I will don't worry" I say to her.
"I have to go now, I love you Bonnie" she says quietly.
"I love you too" I sign and hang up.
I sign as I lay on back on my bed.
I rub my head in frustration, "why do things have to be complicated" I mumble to myself as I get up.
I try to stay focused as I start my homework and try to forgot about Ash and Pete.
