The Helping Hand

Part 6 -The helping hand-
He jumps on top of you and starts to strangle you, you gasp for air but he's holding your neck too tight. With a loud groaning noise you punch him in the face which makes him flinch and fall backwards. You stumble to get up, but as soon as you're up you run as fast as you can starting to scream as you see the field again. "Help me someone!!" At first no one hears but you're out of the trees now and in sight. You look for where Gally is and try running to him. But before you know it you're on the floor again, Ben has grabbed your ankle. "Help me!!" You shout for a second time. Then Ben starts strangling you again. This time newt hears you as you'd gotten closer to him. Newt stops what he's doing with the plants and looks behind him and sees you on the floor. "Thomas!!" He shouts to get him to help. Newt brings his shovel and Thomas just runs over. As they get to you newt throws the shovel over his shoulder and bashes Ben on the back with it so he's off you, and then everyone starts crowding round you both. "Grab him!!" Gally shouts. They lift his shirt up and theres a massive black mark on his stomach spreading. You just stare still trying to get all your breath back. "Bring him to the medical tent" Alby demands. Meanwhile, Newt helps you up off the floor. "You okay?" He worries for you. You don't answer, you just jump into him and swing your arms around his neck. "Thank you Newt" you quietly say to him as tears role down your face. Thomas just stares at you both directing Newt to hug you back. He slowly wraps his arms around you, "no problem."
Later that day you're sitting on your bed just thinking about everything that's been going on, when Newt comes over and sits beside you. "It's beautiful isn't it" he breaks the silence. You turn and smile at him. He's not looking at you at the time, but you start to cry, you don't want newt to worry so you just wipe the tears away. Then you cant hold it in, you don't understand why you were put in this place, so the tears just explode. You hide your face in your hands, then newt turns and sees what's happening. "Hey hey y/n it's okay" he widens his eyes. "I wanna get out of here, Newt I hate it here" you tell him even tho you've only been here 2 days. He looks down and carefully thinks about what he's gonna do. "Come here" is all he comes out with. So you look at him and lean your head on his shoulder and he puts his arm around you. He looks at you and sees you make a small smile. That's the first time he'd seen you smile since you arrived.
