Part 34
Newt, patiently waiting for you to return, finally sees you running to the opening. You run out and give him a hug, "see I told you I'd be careful" you say not wanting to Tell him about the griver. "Hey newt!" Minho says running past. Thomas stops just outside the maze and he looks over to you. He rushes over. "You coming? We're gonna go tell Gally" thomas says without knowing you didn't want newt to know. Newt looks at you in suspicion. You partly smile and quickly run off. You head into the meeting room where Gally was and you gather round to tell him. "Back already?" He angrily asks. "There was a griever" you burst out. "Well obviously" he says sarcastically. "No, there's one out now, Gally" thomas interrupts. "What do you mean out now, there shouldn't be" he shouts. "Well there was and it looked like it was trying to find something" Minho finishes. "I'm sure it will be gone tomorrow" Gally says thinking it would be okay. "And this thing you gave me" he says holding up the thing that came out the griver, "it has the same writing on it as the supplies we used to get sent up" he explains. "Were taking that tomorrow" Thomas tells him snatching it out oh his hand. "You better be careful greenie" Gally says grabbing your hand before you can leave. "It's fine, I'm fine!" You shout. "Yea well your my sister so I'm gonna protect you" he tells you. "I can take care of myself" you argue. "I'm just keeping you safe" he shouts. "From what!! The glade isn't the maze!" You scream. "Y/n, come on" Thomas grabs your arm and pulls you out. "Ignore him" Minho tells you as pats your back as he walks to his bed. "Thanks, but, Hows that gonna help?" You ask looking at the thing that came out the griever. "It will" he replies and goes to his bed. You see newt twidling his thumbs waiting for you. "Hey!" You shout. "Oh hey" he slightly smiles back. "What's wrong" you sympathetically ask. "You, going into that maze, I'm just worried about you" he explains and looks down. You lift his head up to look straight at you, "I get worried too, but I feel like we're gonna find soemthing" you smile. You get up to go back to your bed but before you can newt calls you back. "Wait y/n". What's he going to say?
